I wonder if part of the reason Israel made so many power grabs in recent years is because they realized it is probably their last chance to do so.

So if our only two options are delaying the financial crisis or intentionally manufacturing it in real time and destroying lives across the country, which one sounds more beneficial to the people who voted these assholes into office in the first place?? This is a tremendous first step which is already further than Donnie’s cronies have brought us, and I would wager that the kid can offset any long-term effects with the wealth tax; even with the cavalcade of billionaire babies pretending like they’re gonna leave their city of comfort because they actually have to pay their fair share for once, there’s plenty of possible funding sources they can utilize without cutting social services…if nothing else, this shows us that it CAN be done properly

You can be optimistic about it but most of the times such policies simply give short term relief before becoming a much bigger fiscal problem in future.

Personally, I prefer a long term gradual but reliable solution than a quick fix which is nothing but a patch work and doesn't even solve the problem.

Relying on aid he received, delaying pension payments and future hope that housing supply will expand and growth will sustain are just quick fixes and not a reliable way ahead
