Two of the most overpowered players in their own verse Gio’s Requiem removes cause and effect to almost anything that harm the user. The almighty Quincy king Yhwach can see and change any event to his liking. Not sure which one wins in this one.

My thoughts on this thread: Depends on who uses their powers first. GER resetting things to 0 does include even negating foresight when it countered King Crimson’s Epitaph. Yhwach can null things in turn that he can see in time.

Since Yhwach starts with the Almighty, then he's already negated GER. He's nulls causality manipulation from Orihime who rejects pasts events and even when Tsukishima made a new timeline in the past, he nulled that later on as well.

iirc King Crimson can only see the future of one timeline, Yhwach sees infinite timelines and affects them at the same time. I don't think it's fair to compare both of them

He didn't have it 1000 years ago, the anime basically established this. The quincy had completely evolved since then. It doesn't make sense for him to turn it off when he could've completed his objective way before Ichigo was born

I disagree. GER works by reverts the opponent's actions to it's previous state. The Almighty works from the future so an action hasn't been taken for it to be reverted and since Yhwach sees GER from the future, he's immune to it. He's already nulled causality manipulation and his Almighty is passive.

This is one of the most interesting matchups. Giorno wins. Even yhwach has to use the ability of almighty which itself count as an action and hence gets stopped by GER. Even if he goes in future GER still will negate yhwach's ability as GER is always active.

Firstly, GER is also passive.

Secondly, the fact that GER was able to no diff King Crimson during Skipped Time (that only KC supposedly could move in) means that GER is either immune to or can resist time hax. So even an action from the future like The Almighty can be returned to zero.

I know GER is also passive, but Almighty being passive means he doesn't need to take an "action".

King Crimson's situation is a bit different since he had to commit an action to skip time which got RTZ'd. Yhwach doesn't need to do that since he passively nulls it from the future, an action that hasn't actually been done yet so there isn't anything to revert.


For King Crimson: KC being activated to erase time (committing action) -> Time is erased -> GER RTZ (reverting action)

For Yhwach since Almighty is passive: Yhwach stands (committing no action) -> GER doesn't do anything since there is no action being done

Yhwach has resisted Ichibei's conceptual powers along with nulling Orihime's ability which works similarly to GER.


Unless I'm misunderstanding GER (it's been a while since I've seen that fight), then GER shouldn't be affecting Yhwach.

But iirc, I think GER only activates when there's an action that is aiming at Giorno. Then GER will activates.

Like how King Crimson was trying to attack Giorno then GER got activated.

I think the way he destroys/negates abilities is by going to future instantly and destroying them. It all comes down to offensive power of almighty and how it works and whether it can by pass GER's causal reversal.

Yhwach wins this easily with the almighty ability can see into multiple futures and change it. Hell he did it by overpowering the eyeball monk power Yhwach saw it and shattered that outcome and killed him a result. GER probably has chance of someone changing the future at a moment’s notice.
