Pretty much no Top Tier gets anything like that.
Roger didn't beat anyone to become the Pirate King.
Whitebeard didn't beat any Top Tier to be called the WSM.
Kaidou didn't beat any Top Tier to be called the WSC.
Big Mom didn't beat anybody to become a Yonko, neither did Shanks.
Mihawk is the only one who did not beat any top tier

He's not a fraud it's just that the one piece fandom being what they are, decided to make him a god level fighter when he is in fact, just Yonko level. He is on the same tier as Whitebeard/Big Mom/Kaido and possibly Shanks.
Since Yonko level is above basically everyone else in the story, he's clearly still one of the top 5 strongest fighters of all time. He's just not a hashirama clone.

When it comes to accomplishments, Pirate King really doesnt do Luffy justice.
He will achieve more than all the great figures of the past put together.
Original Joyboy, who is without a doubt, the most relevant figure, aside from Imu(if from Void Century) will look cute compared to Luffy.
Roger is already looking like a background reaction character vs Luffy's name.

Yes Roger is kinda overhype that y'all put him into non existent pirate king tier. Roger, shanks,big mom, kaido and whitebeard is on the same tier called great pirate tier. It also backed by feats of splitting the sky. If they fight it will be 50/50. Roger is pirate king cause he
