Powers & Abilities Haki ruined One Piece

Haki is fine as a power system (and its also hella unoriginal in concept btw most basic aura shit from the 80s) and thematically, as its willpower, its very fitting for the series

The problem is it becomes overbearing post-ts and its not build for that
It looks boring
It makes a lot of things redundant (like the usage of weapons or techniques)
And its visually not clear

Agree with most of the comments so far. Haki isn’t a bad thing and definitely makes sense

The problem is how much it’s emphasized these days. It’s super annoying how a lot of these battles boil down to whose haki is stronger these days. Like someone said earlier, there’s no restrictions. It’s just being spammed over and over

oda took the easy way out. He'd have had to come up with plausible weaknesses for EVERY single df and how to abuse that weakness. And how different dfs interact with one another etc.

Fucker couldn't be bothered to put some thought into it, and just introduced "nuh uh i have more anime power than you so i win" as the main fighting system.
This is an incredibly stupid take. Without Haki, everyone would have to rely on the incredibly rare Seastone all the time, otherwise Logia users would be invincible.

Even Caribou would be unable to be hurt by anyone just because he has a Logia.

It’s the lack of clarity and inconsistency that’s the issue.

Things like Bonney having Haki at 12 while a Strawhat like Robin who spent 2 years with the Revolutionary Army doesn’t is just silly.
Robin's combat abilities are 100% rooted in her DF. I don't think we've ever seen her throw a basic punch or kick with her real limbs....ever.

Haki isn’t only for punching & kicking. You can still coat a slap or a stomp with it, and she uses plenty of those.
It’s also for protecting yourself which would be incredibly useful when sprouting limbs on others, with those limbs vulnerable to attack.

It is interesting to note that the narrative puts Robin as one of the stronger members, she is seemingly a normal human like Usopp and Nami.

Girl needs to pump some iron.
