He just remembered Mihawk telling him he should learn Haki to protect his sword which is something even Apoo, Bellamy and other fodders learn to protect themselves nothing to do with swordsmanship.

Haki is part of every fighting style which means haki is also part of swordsmanship.
If Haki is part of it Zolo wouldn't need 3 swords to beat Nerfed Killer or Lucci. 2 or 1 sword would be more than enough, but its not enough.
Zolo only needs 3 swords because of sword skill difference, his Haki is not the main focus.
Same for Mihawk, he needs special sword to accomplish his feats.
Shanks basically wifi-diffed Admiral from miles away, one-shotted 3 billion Kid. He can do that without sword skill as well.

What are you arguing here? Can Zolo be on same level with 1 sword only? You got debunked already. Zolo's power level increases with 2 and 3 swords due to sword skill, nothing to do with Haki or physical strength.
Shanks's Haki level was always hyped instead, not sword skills like Mihawk's sword skill or Zolo's 3 swords.

You can have better CoO without FS - Hence Luffy saying so about Sanji in Onigahsima, and Sanjis CoO being able to avoid Katas FS in WCI

Luffy grabbed kata when he was using G3 an AoE attack Kata couldn’t morph around. Having FS doesn’t give you automatically better CoO than those without.
Zoro scarred Kaido, that one attack was more impactful than G4 Gatling by miles.
Haki isn’t some straightforward advancement, look at characters like Doffy who has way better haki than trash like Kinemon, but doffy doesn’t have Ryou like Kinemon.
