On a serious note didn't know that a potential crew member need some achievement to be able to join, thought it was up to Luffy whims. Anyway if it's as you said, stalling kaido is a big achievement I'd say she's done more than enough.

Because of that very reason... It's foolish to add more people of lesser caliber late in the story... Powerhouse members are what the SHP lacks ATM...
New World is the lair of powerhouse pirates... It's illogical that the SHs will have non-powerhouse joining in the region because they already have a bunch of non-powerhouse guys...

Straw Hats don't lack any powerhouses anymore. If anything, Straw Hat is the only pirate crew which has 2 Yonko level fighters atm. Other crew even Yonko crew only has 1 Yonko level / top tier hitter.
Jinbe lol diffed Whos Who. Franky beat Sasaki without serious injury. Post PU Zoro/Sanji beat the Calamities comfortably. Even Kaido who one shotted act 1, can't damage Gear 5 Nika seriously.

Your excuse would work if only Yamao playing a huge role in defeating the Beast Pirates, example: defeating Jack or saving Nami from Ulti or saving Robin from CP0 etc.
Yet your supposed new heavy hitter did nothing in the arc except stalling Kaido a bit (10%) and babysitting Momo (90%).
She is not the game changer who help Straw Hats to win the raid.

Zoro already knows King's mechanic, he can defeat King faster then clean Veterans then continue to help Luffy.
Sanji now has enough AP to bring down Queen faster then continue to stomp Veterans and other fodders.

At this point, you have to be delusional to think that Oda (and Shueisha by extension) won't make someone from One Piece Japan join the crew. And Yamato literally ticks all the boxes.
They want and have to milk Wano from now to the rest of the series (yes, even more), just look at how long it has been already and how many shit Oda has had to cram to make Wano stand out even more: "Look how cool and strong and perfect Oden is!" "Look how important these guys are, they are masters of kairoseki!" "Look how cool this place is that Roger, Whitebeard and even Ace visited it!" "Look, 2 emperors joining forces!" "Look, Luffy has 3 power-ups!" "Look, Wano is special because Joy Boy will appear, and it's Luffy!".
And having a character that screams "look! I'm so japanese!" "Oden was so cool!" "Japan is so cool!" with constant showings is a GIVEN.
Start praying that she at least switches outfits at some point (but she'll keep the sideboob anyway).
