You are talking out of your ass. Quality is subjective. He got second highest focus going by panel time which was the point. I never said about quality. BM was shafted unlike Kaido. That is true. Just like akainu can get shafted with imu getting more focus. Whether imu will be qualitative or not is not the question.

So Akainu and the navy were fools for sending Akainu to hunt down the BB pirates?? You gotta see it out of Oda's narrative - he wouldnt let the navy send out Akainu alone if he didnt think it would be enough.
I can understand that Teach retreated out of strategic reasons, and even though he needed a ship desperately, its way too risky to fight an Admiral for that. But you gotta see it out of the other side as well: Teach is unpredictable and did need the ship, so Akainu was 100% ready to take them all on. Would he do that if he wasnt sure he could handle them?
Cmon, youre better off finding another excuse. Clearly Teach didnt care about his comrades in that situation. He was shitting his pants from the possibility that he has to fight Kuzan.
And again you gotta look at the narrative from the other perspective as well if youre not bias: why should Kuzan risk so much, threaten Teach and his entire crew to not fight them, but to straight out kill them, if he wasnt sure that he could actually do it? Kuzan is one of the most experienced fighters in the verse, you really think he is a fool and cannot assess situations and face offs correctly?
The portrayal in both situations were clearly set by Oda: its Akainu vs BB pirates and Kuzan vs BB pirates, and in both face offs Oda gave the Admirals the clear superior role.

Thats kinda true. But unless Akainu stays untouched until the end of the story, who else is gonna take him down?

Luffy having ACoA and ACoC already telegraphs the ending of the fight because he doesn't need to touch Akainu to win thus Akainu's magma is negated easily.

Thats the problem. No one is beating Akainu if he has such a free advantage on top.

What really makes Akainu so strong is his mindset. This unbending will to do anything for his ideologies. Thats something Luffy never yet had to face, and will probably never do unless he fights him. Akainu gives main character vibes in terms of fighting mentality.

Right now, Luffy might defeat Kizaru and I don't see it having more than 15 chapters of fight since it is not that relevant to the story. Same with Akainu, his fight with Luffy would just be a side quest for Luffy. Nothing to add to the story aside from avenging.

I know he’s the #1 hated but I ain’t think this many people caught the same PTSD as Luffy did..
