In what manner did Shanks capture Loki

Loki called Shanks a coward/chicken of a pirate which could suggest Shanks did something underhanded.
I can't think of anything. We know that against his peers, Shanks goes 1 on 1. He clashed with Whitebeard while everyone left the ship, he probably clashed with Kaido solo, which is the reason Kaido placed Shanks on one pedestal with Roger, WB, Xebec and Oden, we know he acted quick against Kidd and wasted him along with Killer.

Maybe in Loki's case, Shanks' crew really gangbanged him while Shanks sit back, which in Loki's interpretation, who was also fueled by his saltiness of being captured, classified as Shanks being a coward for not fighting himself, but it's hardly an argument against Shanks that his subordinates are strong enough to do it themselves. It just means that Shanks fighting himself would've made it worse for Loki.

Or it could simply be that Loki wanted to provoke Luffy when realizing he is close to Shanks, which was indicated by his expression. He wanted to exploit Luffy's feelings.

Many possibilities here, yet people just want their agenda to be true.

It was 2v1, in alignment of my hopes that Gryphon is an awakened mythical zoan sword.

Shanks + Awakened Gryphon vs Loki

They defeated Loki then flew him all the way to Elbaf.

I don't think there any chance of Shanks purposely pulling a dirty trick by himself, but it's possible that one of his crewmates interfered in the fight. We saw Yasopp from his own volition destroying Bartolomeo's ship without warning despite them being allowed to leave after passing the poison trial. In the very first chapter we also had Lucky Roo shooting a bandit head from behind without warning (albeit he was threatening heir captain) with Shanks himself justifying it by them being pirates. There are precedences of RHP doing "dishonorable" things on their own and Shanks rolling with it.

I believe the chances are low as Oda been making Shanks that nearly morally perfect and powerful mentor figure lately, but it's depend how important/strong Loki is supposed to be. If he's just a elbaf only side character? Then he likely just got clapped fair and square by Shanks. Is he supposed to be a top tier and he will be relevant during the final arc like the mural suggest? Then possible that his capture will leave his strenght ambiguous.
I would keep my mind open after Oden/Kaido. I remember everyone (me included) assuming Kaido won fair and square against Oden because of his WSC and always bet on in 1 vs 1 reputation and then after the flashback actually happened we were all caught by surprise.
Albeit once again I'm not betting on it because of how Oda has been portraying Shanks as basically flawless

I do think Shanks can potentially deal with or restrain Loki, but if that's the case then Loki's character is pretty much useless
Everything about Loki says he's legit, and if he's to be legit in the final stages of the story, he has to remain untouched
Shanks here will probably neither look bad or good, but it won't be bad for sure lol
Could be wrong and Loki is just a sacrifice for Blackbeard maybe

Anything but a clean 1v1 is cope.

At this point of one piece y'all should be quite aware that Oda love praising Shanks, he would not defeat Loki in a way that make Shanks look bad.
