But if Zoro killed Kaido its ok and it make sense? I do agree on the theory tho.
Lets discuss their "defeat":-
- Big Mom was not knocked out after their final attack on her she was conscious. Kid and Law had to push her off Onigashima in order to "win". Now she is supposedly "burning and dying". So yea no they didn't actually defeat her they just won their fight when she dropped out.
- Kaido would probably still be fighting even at this chapter but he "had" to show Luffy that his punch means nothing to him. We can all agree that the size of that punch equals a lot of weight behind it. So Kaido was dumb thinking he can take it on because Luffy isn't JoyBoy and no one could beat him.
- When top tiers fight they know what the other is capable of so Big Mom vs Kaido took that long because they were taking each others seriously. Blocking dodging etc just like the 3days of Roger vs WB from what we seen none of them took a serious injury during their fight because they know what would happen if they got cocky.
- Luffy's fruit is not something to scoff at anymore. The man in G5 can increase his strength by inflating himself so much that can drop an island on anyone as a last resort coated with CoA and CoC. And was always the case with his fruit ability as in being flexible enough to surpass the strength of veteran fighters. So it does make sense that he was able to over power Kaido at the end because what is the limit of his fruit? You can go beyond what he did vs Kaido and you will see it "sadly as it may seems but this is what a Joy and Nika(Laugh) will bring to the story forward".
So Kaido was an idiot he could have shrunk down and used Onigashima as his defense and Luffy wouldn't have been able to land that attack on him Or just "DODGE". But he is just like Zoro pride and honor.
Now that Kaido the Strongest Creature is defeated by Luffy there will be no one in the world Strong Enough to withstand Luffy's island Attack. What remains are the Strongest Attackers Shanks Akainu BB Mihawk and Buggy.
What is your point? Explaning why Kid and Law are not Emperors? Does WG/Marines even know how they defeated BM?
The NEWS is 3 pirates made an alliance and defeated 2 Yonkos. Why only one of them is Emperor?
Kaido was WINNING over Luffy until the very end. When Kaido started to talk to Luffy in their final clash Luffy that was losing out of sudden finds strength to overcome Kaido by a huge gap. This is similar of what anime did in Dressrosa. Manga was much better because G4 always showed a huge gap over Doflamingo but Anime had to make them clash equally for a period of time with their ultimates.
Kaido was taking Luffy serious since 1000 when he got punched. He even compared Luffy to top tiers he met like Oden, Shanks, Roger, WB and Rocks.
Luffy's fruit has nothing to do to stretch the user strength over the opponent.

How is it fair that two little hobbits fooled one of the most powerful entities in Middle Earth and snuck into the only place where the source of his life force can be destroyed?
How is it fair that Harry Potter, a 17 yo sub par wizard who only uses one basic spell in combat, defeated the most powerful dark wizard of all times?
How is it fair that Luke Skywalker, who only trained as a Jedi for a few months, defeated Darth Vader, a powerful sith lord who was a prodigy even at his young age?
How is it fair that Naruto ever managed to defeat anyone?
Have you ever seen / read any story ever?
I don't know pretty well the story of Lord of The Rings. I always slept in those movies. Although I watched that prequel where we have a war between 5 armys.
Harry Potter winning over Voldemort makes no fucking sense for sure.
Luke Skywalker never defeated Darth Vader. Rewatch the Last Jedi.
Naruto had Kyuubi inside him. A powerful creature that controls his body in moments of enragement. That's enough explanation to win a lot of the guys he did. But for sure the manga wasn't perfect and had a lot of bad takes.
