How many languages do you speak?

Been in Korea for about 8 years now! at first as a student, then found a job, then met my wife.. lol so yeah i hadn't originally planned to stay that long to be honest but living in Seoul is a blast from my personal experience!!! Did you ever visit?

Yess~ but also because of manga/anime stuff. You can probably find there more than here in Austria. But for that the best place would be Japan.
We aren’t really planning on going this or next year because of the corona but I’m sure when it’s all gone, we will visit Korea sometime.

going there is a huge dream of mine, just to do noraebang and drown in kimchi all day long. I need to make it happen.Did they accept you well as an obvious foreigner? And how long did it take to master Korean?
Well yea, in my personal experience, I didnt have any integration problem whatsoever so big yes to the first question! But I am generally good at adapting and always trying to behave as much as I can as locals, so that probably played a lot (am not like the typical arrogant french tourists I see everywhere......)
About the language itself, it's a bit hard to give an accurate period... I can handle most situations on my own but I wouldn't consider myself fluent yet (especially writing) coz unfortunately I never had the chance to properly learn it. I wish I could just take classes in a language school, with a teacher, without thinking about anything else...! But I studied it while working with books and topik practice tests, and using it in the office, also watched a lot of tv programs without subtitles... Never fully understand 100% (still hard to grasp all the nuances and stuff), I am much more comfortable with written contents lol, reading is quite easy!
No, I create the most horrible sounds when I sing, but that's acceptable because it's an isolated room!! :yasu:

I'm pretty sure you're selling yourself short with your Korean, no doubt it's way better than you make it sound. That's amazing, good luck with future writing, and have some kimchi for me too.
