Questions & Mysteries How Many Of You Actually Like Mihawk?

#62
I love how everyone acts as if he's living a meaningless life when he's actually one of the only characters who achieved what he wanted in life.
Did he really though? Most of the time he’s bored without feeling any thrill. And if he doesn’t have some kind of character arc and development, he will turn into a boring side character. Experience with Zoro and Luffy will have to change him somehow (and already started to).

And that is also why Oda turned his life upside down, so we’re in for some fun :finally:

What makes a character interesting in your opinion? And define character development in your own terms while you're at that.

You dont know where he started from, or his journey to reach the top
Hes bored because he reached the top and theres no one else there. He is literally suffering from success. The one guy who could keep up gave his arm up for a kid.
This man is that tired of waiting for thst someone else hes trained someone who will eventually give him the fight he wants.

Only if he could push Vista to actually display his actual flower sword style would that statement be true. Vista was not even pushed to mid diff. The flower sword style remains anime filler as of now. Same way Mihawk defeating Jimbei is filler.

Wait what ? You want him to push him to something you admit is anime filler ?
Mihawk cared that much about vista instead of fighting him for 2 years he trained someone weaker. Just because he will eventually have a proper fight years later.

In simple terms the character has to go through something within the story and change. It doesn’t matter if it’s for the better or worse - that’s subjective - it just matters that the character has a logical and understandable shift.

Now with Mihawk this already started, when he saw how selfless Zoro is for Luffy, completely letting go of his pride. Because originally Mihawk is very prideful and doesn’t sacrifice himself for anyone. Experience with Zoro should have him change from now on, if it’s correct storytelling.

For me, that’s interesting. Zoro came to learn from Mihawk, but Mihawk also learned something from Zoro (and will hopefully show it).

That he used flower sword style in the fight against Mihawk is just filler, yes. Despite his name being Flower Sword Vista, he didn’t go all out even against Akainu during that attack. We have never seen an instance of flower petals being used in a fight except for Shutenmaru against Jack

Nkw we know the scrubbards use Ryou with different elements associated with it, like O-Kiki uses snow, Kinnemon fire, etc. This means that Vista specialises in ryou that has to with the same thing Shutenmaru used against Jack.

The only genuine swordsman that I like in OP is Ryuma but Mihawk is cool too. Didn't like him at first but the more I look back, the more I appreciated Mihawk's character in general. He is both overrated and underrated at the same time (overrated in term of strength cuz people keep wanking him so that Zoro would look good when defeat him in EOS and very underrated in term of character cuz people always overlooked his character and saying he is a dull and bland character). While his feats are poor, his hype and relevancy makes him extremely important to the story. And he is also the end goal of one of the main character in OP which is Zoro. In my opinion, his interaction with Zoro, Perona and Shanks makes him more likable cuz he's usually a lone wolf type and I'm hoping for his backstory in the future.

And got a 2nd one 15 years later?

Sanji gotta generic ass backstory in baratie lmao, random kid who happened to be on that boat and owed Zeff a debt that kept him around
Sanji's first backstory is pretty much the most unique backstory in the SHs. Hate on it all you want. Still more than what Mihawk has.

Sanji didnt need the second backstory. The first one pretty much cemented who he is.

Your just jelly your little bird brain fav aint got shit lmao. Sanji will probably get a third backstory before Marco ever gets plot relevance to get a backstory:suresure:

Not really LMFAOOO, Sanji backstory is a far less important knock off version of Robins story
  • Run aways
  • Mothers nice to them
  • Parents wanted by tha government
  • Both lie to tha crew cause of their past

Clearly he did lmao, tha AUTHOR decided “I haven’t done a good enough job with this character, I need to flesh em out some more” and we got WCI from it

My Bird Brain fav has consistently been portrayed against ONLY Top Tiers and casually talks to them and gets mutual respect from them. I’m in a good mood today, don’t make me put a target on Sanji bro....

Im talking about his first backstory. The one about starvation. The one that you claim didnt exist and that Sanji never had a backstory for 15 years.

Yh cause the little hoe cant do shit to them with his piss poor AP. His underling Jozu and Vista have done more than him. His weakass sucking up to all these Top Tiers cause he got his shit rocked by BB.

Put a target on Sanji....idc lol. Im just spitting facts.
