But I think it's common for people like us to underestimate how much we eat, paired up with a fast metabolism. One day I decided to count calories just to see if it was true. I couldn't believe how much I had to eat to reach 2000 calories, it felt like a chore.

You need to eat in a caloric surplus if you want to gain weight, and it doesn't need to be by a lot, 400-500 is a slow and steady pace.

Or if you don't wanna go down the counting route, take the amount of food you're eating right now, weigh yourself daily for a week, if your weight is the same, then this is the amount of food required to maintain your current weight. Now add a bit more, like an extra meal to up the calories.

If you want something you'll make it happen. It's the discipline.

Ahem, i was blessed with a very bulky body, didn’t train much in my entire life but I always had defined muscles and plenty of muscle mass. But, I was also cursed with a slow af metabolism and I love food. When I was in high/school and preuniversity, I used to swim a shitload, so It kept things in check, things kinda slowed down for a year or two now and so I put on some good weight, it’s at 110 rn ( I think, haven’t weighed myself much lately) but it’s going down, trying to get to the 80-90 kg range. Then I’ll be good to go again.
