How strong is Morel ? Compared to Zodiac and Phantom Troupe ?

The thread is to discuss the chad Morel power level.

We strated to discuss about this with @Salah WG in an other thread, so here a thread dedictated for that.

So the point is : how strong is Morel ? How does he compare with other great nen users ? The Zodiacs or the Phantom troupe for exemple.

Obviously it's always difficult to know who can win in a nen fight and doing 1 vs 1 is always complicated (as said byt the goat himself)

Morel good portrayal :

- Morel is a single star hunter so a good and recognized one and more importantly he can qualify now for a 3 stars for his accomplishments during the Chimera arc

- Has the biggest Nen aura amount Knuckle has ever seen prior to Youpi : 70.000. And the guy fought 5000 battles.

- The man fought the whole palace invasion at 35% at best of his abilities

- Beat 2 Squadron leaders : Leol and Cheetu

- Was praised by Shaiapouf for his cool head and experience

- Reached the 6th round during the chairman election arc, ranked 8th during 5th round, proving he is one of the most famous hunter and recognized one

Morel "bad" portrayal :

- Morel said he is himself a support type and not a fighter

- Kanzei the Zodiac said Morel and Knov were weaker than them

Now comparison between strong players and Morel :

- Illumi is a 95 for Hisoka

- Some Zodiacs like Kanzai are portrayed weaker than Illumi with lower points :

- Feitan who I consider one of the strongest PT also beat one of the Squadron leader and not in an easy fight even if he was a bit out of shape

- I doubt there is a big ass difference between Illumi and the strongest PT. I think Illumi is def stronger but nothing huge. Feitan should be in the 80/90 range

So we have Morel who has good feats in the similar range of the greatest PT, greatest PT who should be comparable to Zodiacs, yet a Kanzai a Zodiac is saying Morel is weaker than them and we know there is a 77 Zodiac (so not that high)

For me Kanzai was talking with his ass a little and underestimated Morel. Especially with Morel portrayal and feats

obviously Morel isn’t comparable to te strongest Zodiacs like Bobotai, Ging, Pariston etc.

But the man shouldn’t be below the average Zodiac or lower Zodiacs.

I don’t see Morel below 75 with Hisoka rating and more into the 80/85.

Same I see him comparable to the good/great PT

Strong PT lvl, he was strong enough that Netero took him with him to a insane hard mission, no one else. WIth show how much Netero respected and believed in Morel power. He is easily on strong PT lvl.
His problem was just that the Royal Guards been just to be strong.

That is like following scenario:
Primebeard,Big Mom and Shiki are the royal guards of Xebec, who are a threat for the humanity.

So Current Luffy(Netero) goes and tries to beat Xebec.
He takes Zoro,Sanji and Jinbe with him(Yonkou commanders of Luffy, his strongest members, with he trust at most, same as Netero trusted Morel/ Also Morel was Strong as a PT).

What you think would happen to Zoro,Sanji and Jinbe when they faced Xebec Royal guards?
They would get clapped hard... Even their captain would have hard time to even beat 1on1 Xebec Royal guards.

That was the same with Netero and Morel.
Even Netero would need a high-extrem high diff battle to beat a Royal Guard.
Same Netero would beat the shit of the PT..

Morel fought a opponent who was on Netero lvl...
He is very strong, but just fought the wrong opponent at bad time.

Definitely stronger than Machi, Kortopi, Pakunoda, Shalnark, Kalluto and Shizuku, I would put him in the upper end of the Phantom Troupe alongside Feitan, Uvogin and Phinks, but weaker than Chrollo/Hisoka.

For me Morel is somewhere near Kanzai or even superior due to the fact that man is a skilled experienced fighter who even while weakened could still hold his own and manage beating 2 sqaudron leaders, and also fought Youpi (who's a beast)

I don't really buy too much into Hisoka ranking, I feel like it's not really that accurate to judge fighters.

Morel is also definitely above some spiders excluding Hisoka, Illumi, Feitan, Nobuanga and Chrollo

Not forgetting Netero won't bring someone weaker than every Zodiac to go on this mission as his best man

Morel is Very Close Friend of Netero, yet He wasn't chosen to be a Zodiac,
Zodiacs are picked by Netero himself, They are his Top Allied Hunters,

So We can make a case for Criminals & Characters that Netero didn't know or Enemies, to be on Zodiac Level,
But not for Morel, being Netero's Friend makes him a Candidate but He Failed,
Kanzai & Botobai agreed with this

Secondly, Morel himself said that He doesn't consider himself Very Strong (He isn't comparing to Netero ofc, this Statement indicates that He doesn't consider himself on Level of Great Hunters such as Zodiacs, otherwise the Statement wouldn't make sense), it was followed by him saying that He is more of a Support & his especialty is the Sea

Leol Fight was created specifically for Morel, it's a Sea-Based Combat, it was a Fight in Morel's Favor (He is a Sea Hunter), and Cheetu Fight was more of a Challenge and Cheetu was simply Stupid, Morel himself said that it's the reason Cheetu Lost, you can't compare something similar to a Hunter Exam with Feitan Fight where it was completely about who Overwhelms the other in a Deadly Exchange of Blows

I think Morel can beat Youngsters among Phantom Troupe, Zoldycks & other Pro Hunters, but i have no reason to put him alongside any Zodiac or any Senior Phantom Troupe Member or Old Zoldyck ... etc

I think 70-75 is a Fair Rating for someone like this.
Very Strong to stand out from Most Pro Hunters, and Close enough to Elite Hunters, but not quiet there

He also took Knov who pissed his pants...so sorry but Netero's judgement is useless. He only took them because Morel and Knov's powers are useful in seperating the Royal Guards from the King.

Possibly. But I'd theyre around the same lvl...with matchup suiting Morel. I'd say Bono probably beats Morel due to his matchup advantage of having AoE attacks.

Tho there general tier is around the same.

- Ging tier: Prep Chrollo

- Kite/Hisoka tier: No Prep Chrollo, Feitan, Phinks, Illumi, Matchi, Uvogin, Nobunaga, Franklin

- Morel/Gotoh tier: Bono and Shalnark

- Canary tier: Shizuku, Pakunoda and Kortopi

I'd say its pretty fair tbh. Morel doesnt really have impressive feats. Hes always in misceleanous fights where he has to outsmart the retarded Ant he's fighting.

I dont really see Morel pushing Hisoka more than Gotoh did tbh. He creates a few smoke clones which Hisoka neg diffs until he finds the real Morel and kills him.

I think he is relative to the upper tier of the Zodiacs/Phantom Troupe. The guy did 1 v 1 a chimera ant royal guard after fighting a couple of lower ranked chimera ants.
