Speculations How would the RHP's dying make you feel?

At this point shanks and his crew dying is seemingly just something everyone believes at fact but, how would you feel if it actually happened? Should it even happen?

Especially when it comes to shanks, yasopp, and maybe even mihawk

With luffy never being able to see shanks again to prove hes a great pirate like he promised all the way back. Finally surpassing him and having the chance to return the hat
And usopp never getting a chance to meet his father. Let him know what happened to his mother and just how much of a man hes become
If mihawk does end up getting draged into it somehow itll mean zoros mentor and biggest rival would be gone. With someone else needing to take his place as wss for zoro to surpass them and mihawk

I would celebrate literally ANY death, that fits into the story and is executed well, at this point.

The stakes need to be significantly higher than they are currently.

For the plot to work best, Shanks and Luffy have to finally meet and THEN he should be killed by Blackbeard or someone else. Luffy has to be enraged by this for plot purposes.

As to how it will make me feel personally... I'll probably rage quit for a while, fuck that shit

For now it wouldn't sadden me too much given the little connection we have been given with the Red-Hair Pirates.

I would honnestly be glad to see important deaths in OP as long as it is well-done as @dirtyLarry said. There have been too few deaths and sacrifices and far too many characters that should have died in One Piece.

I think this will only happen if Teach will also kill Shanks which is a feasible scenario

You know perhaps this event could trigger Usopp's hidden potential and have him turn strong enough to defeat a powerful opponent like Auger

While I would be pretty indifferent if they did as I never really cared for the RHP all series really, I believe that it should happen.

To me, that is the quickest, easiest, and simplest way to establish Blackbeard as a legitimate villain in the story. Him being another obstacle to the Pirate King throne like Big Mom and Kaido are would be rather underwhelming for a character of his magnitude. And what better way to bring him to a villain status by killing Shanks, someone who was integral part in Luffy's life?

It's the most important figure for Luffy who also happens to be one of the most famous pirates in the world AND Usopp's dad. They will get loads of focus as the badass crew they are.

I'm just so conflicted on this topic. The OP story is nearing its finishing line, we hardly know the RHP and have no emotional bond to any of them.

Oda is basically slapping in our face the fact that Shanks and Teach will have a final future confrontation, settling their beef once and for all ( Teach is the only individual Shanks genuinely just hates), even in the Oden FB a connection was created.

Basic story telling tells u that Blackbeard has plot protection as hard as Luffy's until Laugh tale, so in a possible confrontation, Shanks shouldn't get the happy ending.

At the same time, we know that Oda hates it when his manga is predictable and who isn't expecting Shanks's death by Teach's hand at this point?

Another thing, Luffy just won't give that hat back, that's not happening. He's clearly going to give it to someone else ( Makino's child?), but then what did OP fans wait for the past 20 years if Luffy never meets Shanks?

It's weird, tbh.

I personally think that the RHP + Mihawk vs The BBP + Kuzan is potentially going to happen.

It'd be a bit sad as I like the Red Hair Pirates and would've loved to see more of their interactions however, a part of me has felt Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates losing to Teach and his crew was inevitable for the longest time so it wouldn't necessarily be shocking or anything like that. I'd personally prefer the red hair pirates simply getting wrecked by the BB pirates without losing their lives as opposed to the Red Hair Pirates dying though. Would be sick if we had a kinda competition between the SHs and the Red Hair Pirates after the Red Hair pirates loss to the BB pirates, where the SHs have to beat them in order to prove they are capable of challenging the BB pirates ^^

dying don't matter ... how one will die matter

I think if any one would be killed it's Shanks .... but ... it won't be like people think .... if any know Oda a bit should understand why
