Yamcha is far beyond getting the possibility of redemption at this point. His relevancy died when the Saibaman suicide bombed him.

Unless you return Dragonball to martial arts-centeric series once again, completely remove the Super Sayian concept from canon, and put limits to how strong someone can get, I’m afraid Yamcha will remain nothing more than a neglected filler character.
