Oda still not even adding 1 single sword technique from Shanks inside of Film Red that suppose to highlight Shanks of course making this suspicious. Mihawk fans will be disappointed and cry a lot since they are so sure about how Shanks fights but somehow Oda never speaks about it.
We also have a panel Alber refusing to be a swordsman despite using a sword, Zolo calls him killing machine instead.
Then Alber:
Using a sword, even skillfully (as Alber used) doesn't make them swordsman according to Oda.

the eyepatch pirate is luffy after shanks stabs his eye out and everyone pees straight up into the air because its a parallel to chapter 1
i think is safe to say hes a swordsman but this doesn't define him and shanks and crew will do anything it takes to win if they decide to participate in a conflict, from burning people's eyes out with cigarettes to shooting them in the back of the head by surprise. imo shanks will use a sword at a very high level comparable with mihawk but he will also cheat his ass off and fight dirty in a way that makes usopp look honest, just to make sure he wins.
roger's kamusari was basically the same as luffy punching with a sword in his hand. there was no technique there, just raw power
he does coo killer in the manga. he sent the wifi haki to green bull only. everyone else didn't know shanks was there. even luffy who should be able to tell bc of his emotion sensitive coo couldnt tell it was shanks.
