General & Others If bounty includes all the hypes, bloodlines, crews, Luffy is treated as a joke?

Luffy has
  • Yonko status
  • Dragon & Garp bloodline
  • Nika's devil fruit
  • Joy boy hype
  • will of D.
  • grand fleets
  • Sabo's connection
  • Rayleign's connection
  • reputable crews such as Robin, Jinbe, and Zoro
Yet, Luffy's bounty is
  • equal with Law and Kids who don't have Yonko status, heritages, or strong crews
  • less than Buggy who is a joke in terms of combat skills
So, does government view individual Luffy strength as a joke (compared with Kids, Law, and Buggy)?

Bounty is just a threat an individual can posses to WG and I don't think it include connection like between Luffy and Rayleigh.

It's about an individual, his actions, his crew.


But don't rely on these too much. Oda is inconsistent about them af. Kidd and law Bounties are simply placed on Luffy's level to force their rivalry on us (which not the case) and also an attempt to somwhat tone down Luffy

I mean the news kinda reported that Luffy, Kid and Law defeated 2 Emperors without any special mention on the match-ups, they gave Luffy, Kid and Law the same bounty like what happened end of Dressrosa and finally they removed the 'D' from Luffy's name and didn't want to show Gear 5. I think it's the government purposely keeping Luffy's accomplishments on the low to not reveal too much to the public. As for why Oda went this route, probably to keep Luffy as below Shanks and Blackbeard whilst keeping him at that significant range of +3 billion. The government doesn't view Luffy as too weak, they know he awakened the most ridiculous fruit in history. It's just a question of whether they have plans in place to handle Luffy or they're just winging it like they seem to have been doing.

They only make sense if it’s a government coverup.

And we just pretend that 2 billion Blackbeard never happened and he was always at 3.9 billion.

But generally the bounties stopped making sense once we started seeing people match EL Luffy so easily. And near everything about Robin’s.

I think it’s often overlooked that Robin only got a million raise after EL, meaning she basically had the same bounty as she did as a child for all of pre-skip up until Dressrosa.

Bounties are irrelevant. That much became clear after towards the end of Wano. Lol I can’t believe we used to hype Yonko Commander bounties.

Seeing bounties nowadays has me acting like Sanji when he saw that he dropped to #4

Zoro easily gives extreme dif fights to top tier and even win against a few yet his bounty is stuck at 1.1 B

Ironically the only bounty that matters is Zoro's, tell me one character that does more than him but keeps getting robbed! Law and Kidd are walking around with bounties as if they contributed to Kaido's defeat, Buggy keeps falling up, others get their daddy's to increase their bounties, meanwhile Zoro fights everyone and everything and still got a smaller increase than Robin.
But I understand, it's all coming back in the end. :saden:

Or are you going to pretend that they didn’t stop Big Mom from reaching the Rooftop again? They didn’t flat out murk Kaido’s partner and nigh equal?

If anything Zoro was not robbed. Sanji was, I love Jimbei and all but that mf didn’t clash with any of Kaido’s top fighters yet his bounty grew exponentially and surpassed Sanji’s wtf

Bounty is literally just threat level. It's the threat the world government sees you as and character by character it can change. Even depending on what the WG wants the world to know it can change seeing as robin didn't have a really high bounty as a kid because the WG didn't want the world to know what she knew and could do.

I think someone in the wg found out Luffy isn't a real pirate and won't really use his full arsenal. He's just a mentally challenged kid running around the grandline.After alabasta none of his bounties match his capabilities.

I mean dude threw a telephone pole at the three admirals and the wg acted like they were watching Dennis the menace. who cares about non Sanji/Zoro bounties anyway.
