Really what you're doing is reducing laws character to if he has coc or not
You're essentially saying something you're either born with or not should define your ambition and determination/willingness to live, I doubt that's the message anyone would want to get out of this series, narratively.
What you're trying to do is butcher narrative for the sake of powerscaling, you really need to re-evaluate your mindset.
What law did has nothing to do with CoC, Law is a Survivor who did what he had to, to continue to live, he had a quality that is better than Conquerors as a child, Bravery.
What would doffy have done when he was hung up as a kid, if he didn't have CoC? he would die. He needed an ability that he inherently had by birth to survive.
Whereas Law didn't, and made do with what he had.
