Oden already replied to his own statement
But if somehow you've reading comprehension issues, Oda decided to clarified it further by having Marco confirming Wano's isolationist status as a reason they couldn't know what was going on in Wano

Well that was easy lmao
Oden was not considering that word would not get out while making this statement. there is not a single slight implication that he did.
its more likely that Oden thinks outside forces would need to not only face Kaido and the BP, but Wano as a whole aswell.
he had the advantage that he was already on Wano soil (entering alone is not easy) and that the Samurai did not oppose him. a boon others would not have.
I am certainly not saying that no one else could defeat Kaido in fair fight. I am certain WB and Roger could.
the outside circumstances just make it increasingly harder for anyone else than Oden to even get to a fair fight.
"CLOSED COUNTRY"
Meanwhile Marco 20 years later flies there like it is nothing.

King pushed an entire ship back down and that almost cost a Yonko dearly. its not impossible to enter Wano. its just very hard and dangerous.
unless you have the ability to fly. which most do not. and those few who have it would be unable to do much by themselves.
