Break Week If Mihawk didn’t exist would Zoro have fans?

#21
Im interpreting it as mihawk has the greatest sword might. But beyond the sword i.e. brute strength and haki, he isnt #1. But you better believe nobody swings a piece of sharp metal better than he does.

Its like those punching machines. Just because you have the highest score doesnt mean you are the strongest, nor does it make you the best boxer. Just means your punch is unrivaled.
This is a comic for little kids. No need for mental gymnastics.

So other swordsmen can beat him, even if they're not necessarily as skilled?

What a weird question? Like if Zoro has no dream? He would be the same character, but without much emphasis on ambition and dream, and would be on the ride to laugh tale just out of loyalty to Luffy.

His archetype in anime always has a ton of fans.

The true question is, without Zoro would Mihawk have fans?

I like him a lot, but it's visible that his support in fans come from Zoro needing him as a end goal

Because zoro holds 2 katanas and sucks on a third and mihawk had no idea how to train that weird muthafucka so he gave him the seeds for haki growth so he could perfect his own swordstyle.
Why teach him haki when you said it has nothing to do with wss which is just sword might

First thing Mihawk does in his introduction: diss people who only rely on brute force.
His grace is his swordskill. Thats why i said earlier that he is not the strongest man. That was part of my punchers analogy. Its the art of the swing, not the muscle behind it.

Like golf. I don't care how strong you are, without technique that ball will skirt the ground.

Because thats all mihawk could teach him. Did you expect him to teach his one greatsword style to the three sword style katana weilder? He taught him haki so he could make it in the new world and perfect his skill for their future fight.

Mihawk has both superior skills and strength on top of that he has kokuto he forged on his own which is definitely going to be extremely high level haki feat that requires highest stages of multiple forms. It's reason Loda felt the need give Zoro adcoc in wano fact he got it just proves he will need it to forge his own kokuto at some point. Funny thing is guy you are hyping as haki master failed to achieve that no wonder why Mihawk gives you nightmares:milaugh:

People theorize that Yoru ate the black blade fruit.

Would he? Without Mihawk he would be just some loyal dog to luffy with no ambition himself.

He wouldn’t want to be WSS, since there wouldn’t be any. So Mihawk is essential for zoro to have a goal. Mihawk makes zoro badass since he himself is badass.

This is a tribute to @DonWick s thread
Kuina will still be alive and be the Sword Goddess even more badass, nonchalant, more solemn, and more powerful than even Mihawk.

So Zoro wouldnt need to worry since he will still have cultist fandom.
