Luffy is really the only one who has motivation to fight both Kaido and Big Mom, but I think the specifics of Law’s plan from Punk Hazard (and all the other moments of buildup since then) kinda necessitates him facing Kaido. As far as the others...

Zoro - definitely Kaido, he has the only sword that ever scarred the guy in the past and his likely (and confirmed) connections to Wano means he’s gotta play a part in slaying the beast (#ZKK)
Law - Kaido, he came up with this plan and has no direct quarrels with Linlin
Kid - Big Mom, he’s already entered her territory and fucked with her in the past
Killer - Big Mom, follows his captain even though they both suffered indignities under Kaido

The whole separation plot is so stupid. Its not like they are doing tag team attacks which is hurting them and separating them will make them weaker, SNs are unable to hurt kaido, BM is pretty much not doing anything. They have find a way to hurt kaido first.

I think you need to stop neglecting that this is a story, and not real life, so when Oda has a character say 9 shadows will bring the dawn to Wano, that means that 9 shadows actually will bring the dawn to Wano.

Powerful pirates who will be the main cast of an upcoming war that barged there way into the new world 20 years after Oden died describes them.

More possibly:

We get a mix of the heavy hitters of Luffys kids and laws crews with Momo and Yamato to represent the Wano Samurai. This is if Oda wants to continue the “possibility” that Luffy has any Rivals other than Blackbeard.
