The 3 main excuses OPlers have used for decades to shit on FT are:
1. "The author hyped villain for nothing. Hyped for months, turned out to be embarassing!!"
"God Serena is 1 shotted and died lulz weakling!!!"

Compare God Serena to what happened to Kaido and especially Big Mom.
God Serena was embarassed by fking Acnologia, the EoS villain and Top 1 of FT verse by that time (or maybe until now in 100 Years sequel)

Yet what happened to Kaido and Big Mom?
1 got trolled by Scrubbards who consistently being scrubs throughout the arc. But against Kaido? They can clown him. Good job Oda, rip Kaido's breathtaking hype he used to have in his debut.

And BM got trolled by the likes of Brook and Chopper. Same duo who got neg diffed by Perospero, suddenly able to troll Perospero's Captain. Good job.

2. "Plot armor!! Natsu or Erza won't lose no matter what!!"

Then Lulffy vs Katakuri happened.

3. "Too much fanservice!!!"
Then post TS Nami and DR Rebecca happened.



All the usual shitting from OPlers to downplay Fairy Tail and its hard worker writer (2 or even 3 chapters per week vs Oda's weekly break) now have backfired. Tragic

Even if you still enjoyed them, you can feel affection for those movies while also being conscious enough that there are narrative/moral issues with the films or the creation of the same. I have given a lot of time, money, and attention to One Piece for longer than some of our more notable members have been alive, but it’s not until I joined this forum that people told me I’m not a real fan or I have no love for the series. Ignoring the fact that these armchair psychiatrist dipshits aren’t qualified to analyze a stranger on the Internet, I’d argue that inflexible jackasses who have to complain about how others view the series they love because their worldview is so tenuous that it can be shattered by minor criticism are the real disappointments.

It’s a good thing nobody on this forum genuinely hates OP lol. I think Wano is pretty horrendous but I still don’t hate the manga. I’d drop it in a heartbeat if I did. I dropped Naruto smack dab in the middle of Madara’s Kage rampage. I legit just put the series down mid-episode and never looked back lol.

I can’t believe some are so emotionally invested in this series that the opinions of OTHER PEOPLE bother them to this extent. Seriously, get help. One Piece is a commercial product. Like any other book, movie or tv series fans and customers have the right to demand a better product and so they should given the utter trash that is Wano. You think I want to buy volumes featuring Holdem and the Scrubbards? Fuck no.

We’ve all seen beloved childhood series go to absolute shite. We’d prefer if OP didn’t end up that way but it certainly isn’t looking too good right now. Take off the nostalgia goggles and the writing decisions are gobsmackingly stupid, highlighting minor characters that no one cares about instead of fan favourites that have had years worth of buildup (Chopper and the zoans? Franky’s anti Kaido weapons? Zoro and Ryuma?). In the era of COVID where people are tightening their belts, who the fuck would want to buy disappointing garbage like this?
