Move with 2 different attacks? And i'd argue that G3 is shorter.
I think comparing something that a character has fleshed out as a transformative technique through dialogue, side effects to overcome, etc. by Oda makes it a form. Zoro has not referred to it as a form, and there is no evidence in the manga it is considered as such. Its just speculation, but for now it definitely seems like just a move or set of moves.

Lol Luffy can gattling in gear 3 for minutes/hours though. Zori should try to sustain asura for more than a minute.
One attack from G3 and it's done, what minutes/hours? And Zoro never needed Asura for that long.
Asura is more of a charged attack than a form. It's like Kings punch. Most of Zoro's best attacks seem to be charged moves. Even Sanzen Sekai falls into that category. Just cause he spins the blade doesn't mean it's a "form"
It has two (three if count filler) different attacks. While is Asura, Zoro talked to Kaku, destroyed his attack while in form and then performed his own attack. It's clearly a mode.

Well a form is something I expect to be something which changes the user himself giving a boost, I would only attribute it to mostly DF users though(zoans obviosuly all have that).
Zoro even have Mutoryu...doesn't mean its a new form...its just a style.
you're literally talking yourself into a hole:whitepress:

Asura is a form. It comes with its own attacks that aren't used in any other sword style. Whether he can sustain the form is up for debate. We'll see it this arc most definitely.

First the rivals must hold out for more than 3 minutes.

Shanks and Mihawk cant pull off anything alike. That's a Zoro only thing.
and why Zoro was able to do that? anything but swordsmanship skill?

he was able to do that when he was a rookie ... when Shanks/Mihawk was at least 100 times above him in skill

Asura likes is a move/mod form swordsman
there is ZERO reason to assume two greatest sword master alive can't pull something like this off

as a move? it would be epic
as a mod ? it would be too much
