Questions & Mysteries Is Bonney a clone?

#1
It’s a reply to someone else’s post but still I lowkey think Bonney being a clone might weirdly still be a viable option
not so fast friend, the flashback still goin, there still a chance that the real bonney died , and world goverment saw what kuma capable of and make a deal kuma agree to turned into cyborg for a chance to clone bonney. ;-)

oda love misery and seem like kuma can still take one child death before give up

thats the reason why saphhire on her cheek replaced with gold instead

We know stussy was the first truly successful clone so the technology definitely would have existed 5 years ago. Weirdly enough on the first page of 1072 it seemingly randomly mentions cloning for some reason while Bonney is the main focus. Yeah on the last page it’s revealed stussy is a clone but I don’t think it’s crazy to believe the initial mention was about Bonney

It could explain why she no longer has her sapphire scale disease at all. Maybe like all the other clones like the germa soldiers or seraphim she just ages really fast. That could be the reason they gave her the age fruit in order for her to enjoy her childhood as long as possible

Honestly as someone who was a big fan of this theory, I kinda doubt it at this point.

If Bonney being a clone was the main conflict for this backstory that would be one thing. But having Bonney be a clone on top of everything else that's happened in this flashback would feel very tacked-on.

The initial mention cant be about Bonney because Vegapunk was still MADS director when he wrote it, so its from more than 30y ago

The bigger question is how did she become a captain of a crew, are these people kids too aged by her DF, or did she just trick them and hide it that she is a kid?

Fair but it doesn’t seem like oda is done putting kuma through hell. Cloning Bonney might be a good reason to force him to work for the world government as a warlord and give his body up for science

True
The quote seems to be about stussy but it being said over Bonney could still potentially be a hint at what’s to come

Not confirmed but I agree its possible. Its still weird they call a kid ''Bonney senchou'' though.

If a clone Bonney might be both older and younger than we think

Younger cause she’d would need to be created within the past 5 years
Older cause like the other clones she would probably age a lot faster than a normal human

I don't hope she is one..
This clone stuff should stop before it got used for too much stuff.. it's a boring plot to have clones of people..

I personally dislike the idea so there's that. I don't see what it would be necessary for, what would it add to the story that would be better than Bonney being cured.

The jewels on her face also appeared on the same spot she now wears some golden thingy. It might cover a leftover scar or something.

Bruh it was literally confirmed this chapter that Bonney isn’t a clone

Another alternative theory is Kuma took the disease himself and saved bonney and meet Vegapunk to become pacifista for WG . Since his original body was was going to die anyway .
