Character Discussion Is Bonney a Rebecca rip-off?

1- Both are arc-specific pink-haired young damsel-in-distress girls who try to act tough but easily break into crying and also get overly sexualized by the author.

2- Both have a mother who tragically died in a flashback.

3- Both have a father who risked his life for his daughter and was turned into a metallic soldier against his will.

4- Both were antagonized and suffered under the hands of a Celestial Dragon/World Noble.

5- Both are eventually saved by Luffy.

Yes, as a matter of fact, one piece is an assembly of recycled plot lines, there is only so much that oda can think about.

There is a reason why post TS arcs parallel pre ts ones, oda reached his limit.

Did you see the last SBS where oda revealed mihawk suffered a huge betrayal and because of that he started to resent marines?

Oda will YET AGAIN use betrayal plot line on his show lol.

Well, Bonney story was created before Rebecca, so it's the opposite

Kinda stupid, idk. You just cherry picked their similarities without expanding on them... you can do this with basically every character in the show and the same shit with other shows too...

Those are completely different stories.

Bonney is a little girl who fought everything to have a chance to avenge her dad.
Rebecca is a girl raised in combat to fight the oppression and stay close to her tutor.

Kyros was a father robbed of his legitimacy, forgotten and despite that kept fighing for his daughter.
Kuma is a father raised in sacrifice who gave up everything to save his daughter.

Instead of trying to make it look like Rebecca and Bonney are the same character (when they are not at all) maybe you should look at the amazing fact that Oda gave us two different stories about dads fighting for their daughters and their daughters fighting for their dads.
