I entered my relationship with almost no advice or help at all and I've done pretty well so far
I don't think it's as complicated as some people think, it's obviously not easy either though

Not particularly anything different than I've already said on this thread. My only new advice is to not listen to people who don't have relationships - both PUA and long-time single individuals. Having a fulfilling partnership is different than one night stands and casual flings.
Here here. I do plenty of things I dislike for her; and she for me. Ultimately, that is what having a partnership is about.
Your objection comes from a heavy-handed response to the word "slave". To serve one another like a slave would be to do anything, regardless if it's what you want, to ensure your partner is happy. Do you think I enjoy having to constantly carry everything? Go on long walks after a hard day at work when I just want to sleep, all because she wants to feel safe outside at night? Sometimes it can be nice; but it can also be burdensome. I willingly do it for her as her needs are more important than my own to me. Some would call that serving as if a slave; but it's different, as it's a mutual dedication to each other's needs/desires.

I already don't listen to those types of people for two reasons
One: I find them corny and unreliable
Two: I'm also not really the type of person who wants one night stands and what not, I wouldn't buy a prostitute either, I think sex should be more meaningful than just two people helping eachother get relief and pleasure.
