Luffy vs Akainu is downgrade. Luffy with half punch can K.O every Admiral very ez. I think soon zoro and sanji can win Admirals very ez too. Admirals looks low tiers. If imu boosts them then they will have good chance to give a good fight. I think imu boosted god knights are stronger than Admirals. Then monster trio with good kings haki can beat ez Admiral right now. Admirals don't have kings haki possible non of them. Ez win for monster trio.

We see Aokiji (Akainu's equal) also fought in a serious battle vs Old Garp, and even then Aokiji needed Shiryu's stab and Pizarro's island power forcing Garp to keep fighting, so they could capture him. So basically mean Akainu level power such as Aokiji's wasn't enough vs Old Garp, so how it can be enough vs Luffy who is fighting Imu right now.

This might be similar to after Luffy defeats Kaido, he fought Kizaru. It didn't feel like downgrade because Kizaru had Saturn backing him up then other 4 Gorosei also showed up.

Now if we assume Luffy will return and fight Imu, his fight vs Akainu won't be exciting at all.

It could be like Luffy vs multiple opponents; Kizaru+Saturn example.

Is Luffy vs Akainu will be a long, death match like 1 vs 1 battle? Or will other characters interfere so it won't be that serious?

I personally like Sabo or Dragon fighting Akainu more, but Luffy might also fight him then they can separate in a team battle.

Imu is weaker than Akainu.
