Mate, if an English author gave all his characters similar names like "Bob, Rob, Bill, Will, Bobby, Robbie, Robin, Bobbie, Billy, Willy, Bobbert, Robert etc" then I would equally take the piss out of them.
Making Sukuna (the strongest villain) like a clown before his victory fight against Gojo is something else that I don't enjoy it.
I admit that Gojo lost badly and Sukuna fans can be relieved by Gege's treatment.
But still, it's the treatment before the victory that can make fans disgusted with their favorite characters.
Health issues. At least with HxH we’ve gotten some new chapters which is nice to know that it’s coming back slowly but still ongoing where as Vagabond were leaning more towards it being done.
no updates or anything from Takehiko in regards to it just that hes excited to continue Vagabond what was supposed to be a month hiatus we have an 8 year hiatus haha
Sad to hear that, I hope he gets better anyhow. If Bakuman gives us any truth, life of mangakas on weekly releases is hellish, we don't appreciate them enough.
Although my question was more about if there is a more or less logical stop in the story, like in HxH you can read the aftermath of Chimera Ants Arc and drop it not starting the latest arc which is undone (and I have a slight hope that it will be done...).

I know it's cool to shit on Oda these days. I got my own criticisms to make of him but what he's been able to do in spite of almost 30 years of serialization is unprecedented. If you did a survey in Japan you'd probably find that Oda is the most respected mangaka out there.

Gege Akutami (Japanese: 芥見下々, Hepburn: Akutami Gege, born February 26, 1992) is a Japanese manga artist, known for their work Jujutsu Kaisen. Gege Akutami is a pen name and the author's real name is unknown.
Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, "Sorcery Fight") has been a fan favorite and and taking over as contender for greatest of all time Mangas. Moreso with the lastest chapters we are getting peak writing and a series where the good guys lose.
Best mangakaka is always subjective......
It's based on personal preferences
And all mangakaka have strong points and weak points, nobody is really perfect in every direction.
But out of all saying JJK being best manga is pretty random, it's one of the better new gen shonen series.
When author kills the most iconic char of his manga doesn't suddenly make it a GoAT manga .........
Culling Games > Shibuya tbh. When you read both back to back the battles and plot just flow better in CulGam than Shibuya which was an everywhere mess.

Culling games has zero flow. It's just battle after battle, skipping details or buildup to get there. Gege is hopping from one event to the next.
It's like if Oda was all foreplay and no climax for Wano. Gege is just climax after climax with no foreplay during culling game. That's why the arc sucks ass compared to Shibuya quite honestly, even though the fights are top notch.

CG isn’t structured the same way as Shibuya which is supposed to be linear (yet still turns out to be a confusing mess). It was about shifting perspectives and showing how crazy the CG is across different battlefields like a real-time field drone. It gets the exposition done quick like the main chapters about Tengen then goes right into the Colonies which is where development happens.
And since JJK is all about the battles. All the meat of development happens in battles. Shibuya’s ass plot is forgettable, I bet nobody even remembered the good guys’ goal was to unseal Gojo, they were just running around looking for someone to fight. At least in fighting CG we knew they were fighting for points cuz it was a major thing and constant reminder for good guys. Shibuya’s battles are also overall inferior to CG.
I found Shibuya extremely boring except for Gojo, Dagon, Mahoraga, and Mahito battles. Battles are definitely memorable. Toji’s entrance was badass but kinda random. Choso switching sides after killing Yuji was also weird af and bugged me out in the beginning. Nobara was handled extremely poorly.
