General & Others Is it lame that Vegapunk cloned Kaido devil fruit

#1
Whole idea is pretty dull to me not only its one of strongest devil fruits but its also one of coolest because its a dragon. Oda just out of nowhere gave it freely to Momonosuke and even made it pink so Vegapunk considered it as failure because of color.

Completely pointless idea from Oda that ruined devil fruit uniqueness in my mind.

Sure. Many people thought that Momonosuke receiving a copy of an ultra-powerful fruit was what is often referred to as an "asspull." This combined with the fact Shinobi used a strange ability to rapidly age him doubled down on the preposterous nature of his development.

Momo and Bonney are incredibly strong already relative to others, the worst generation will surpass the older generations, but the generation of Momo and Bonney will surpass the worst generation,

Yes, reproducing the power of the strongest being in the verse is cheap.

But in all fairness he's already essentially done this trope with Blackbeard stealing abilities so it's not surprising. Plus, I doubt Momo is going to be a major powerhouse until post-one piece. Then again, he did almost one shot an admiral so you never know.

It means Oda wants to do more with that DF but instead of doing it with Kaido he will do it with Momo. Also, makes sense in verse because VP was cloning the strongest sources of power.

Oda subverted everyone's expectations, for the worst.
People expected BB to sneak in and steal Kaido's fruit after Wano, combining the "strongest man" and "strongest creature" fruits with his own abnormal logia, thus turning BB into the strongest monster in OP history.

Instead we got a pink dragon cheaply aged up to power relevance and a bunch of clones of the Warlords.
