Controversial Is it okay to not care about politics?

I've been fighting you guys for month in the political thread, there was nothing more than namecalling (aside from bob of course). I don't really call that chaos.

In reality, most people don't like to talk about politic, simply because they have been conditionned to believe that its a bad subject. Politic in society is a taboo that is said to bring chaos. And its for this reason that most discussion spaces on internet ban political talks.

In reality, Politic is just a subject like any other, but its an important one, that's why we need to bring back the political into all spaces.

I disagree, I'm seeing a lot of people engaged in political discussions. What I could agree with you is that a lot of people avoid talks about politics in some places because they are trying to avoid conflicts. Another thing I could agree with you is that the common sense is an "anti-politcs" speech, not because this speech avoid political disscussion, but because this speech is something like "politics is trash and just make my private life worse"

I would not adress any words to you guys in real Life. In fact I should not even do it on internet, but the conditions here are good any. So there is no fear to create chaos.

Zombie Apocalypse is a politically correct way to talk about social unrest and civil war. The real zombies are already among us(ourselves included)

1) They have nothing going on and want to be part of something bigger

2) They get money from it

3) they are directly and tangibly feel impacted by political issues

Depends on how you define the workd "okay".
I think its stupid.

Then again, most people get deceived by politic theatre. They do not see the bigger picture and quite possibly never will.
For these people it would be better to not get involved. Thats like 95% of voters.

The 90+ something percentage of the world's population already have a mountain to climb trying to meet their own basic needs (food, shelter, clothing, health care) and work a full time job (if not two) as a way to financially support themselves towards those needs.

They might give an opinion about a candidate or a social/political issue here and there but unless he/she has aspirations of a career in politics, they probably won't care much unless it deals with a topic that directly affects their livelihood.

And these are exactly the people that should not vote. Its also the people the governments try to mobilize the most. Since they are clueless and will vote for whatever the TV tells them are the right candidates.

So if you do not care about politics then at least see it all the way through and also refrain from voting.
