I hope hes dead....the df he has is the biggest reason for him to survive based on what abilities it has and thats the only logical way he should return imo, but none of the story lines with him returning are all that interesting to me so I would prefer he dosent come back and we focus much more on kaido

I dont think saga of kurozumi clan will finish this fast . Oda has mentioned Wano for year have witchhunted them it needs to resolve . Especially kanjuro , i dont think he will die .
Orochi is odd case , my bet is on his devil fruit saved him and we still have Ame no habakiri it has not come into play . It certain the sword will be used at one point of time .

It is true that we don't know how it works and that we know based on what the df is based, but from what I've understood if you are not buggy nor a logia and your df is not active you will die. Kaido looked pretty sure that he killed him and we saw the blood and head going of, so for me he is dead as is monet. But this is my point of view and I might be wrong we will have to wait for the 2 of August to see.
Not sure if anyone’s brought this up yet - if Orochi’s DF allows him to regrow heads, wouldn’t Kaido know that prior to slicing one off? They’ve been in business together for more than 20 years and clearly spend time together at least once a year for the Fire Festival; I find it hard to believe that the Yonko wasn’t aware that his benefactor could survive a decapitation even if nobody was bold enough to try for several decades.
If that’s the case, and Kaido fucked him up knowing his abilities, then I still don’t see how Orochi comes back from this. Even if he’s revived, that coward is gonna piss himself upon seeing his business partner again, and will likely come back to life just to be crushed by him or the Scabbards once they arrive on the scene.

For me Kaido is not idiot enough to cut him like usual while knowing his abilities.
I don't know about Orochi being alive tbh. There was too much blood but I'm leaning towards the conclusion that Oda made it look like that to make it realistic.
For me, he can stay dead.
I actually prefer Kaido beheading him rather than Scabbards sparing his life with shit like "LOOK HOW WANO WILL BECOME GREAT AGAIN FROM THE PRISON" or some shit like that.

Why should kaido know it? It's not like orochi has to say that to kaido. And the question is, does orochi himself even know about this? It's not like his head has been cut everyday.
