I'm going to say 80% yes.
For the people who think he's alive, answer me this:
What the hell is Orochi's purpose if he isn't dead?
He is powerless. What is he going to do without Kaido backing him or any subordinates anymore?
Why is it unsatisfying?
He died the way he lived, through treachery.
Orochi was always unimportant, the entire "avenging Yasuie" plotline for Zoro can be tied to Kaido, not Orochi and Hiyori wants the best for Wano moreso than a personal revenge against Orochi. Orochi doesn't matter. The main antagonists of this arc are Kaido and Big Mom, and Oda did a great job of emphasising that they are CO-antagonists in Chapter 985.

I think Oda might be setting up some sort of scene where the scabbards capture orochi and try to kill him. Orochi begs for his life and despite literally everyone wanting him dead, momonosuke decides to forgive orochi and let him live. In doing so, he'd break the cycle of hatred that made orochi a sociopath in the first place.
Oda could take Orochi's character that way. That's not to say that Oda is going to redeem orochi or even that orochi won't get his comeuppance, but rather that he will use orochi to show momonosuke's character.

Orochi/Fukurokuju will contact CP-0 which is still in the mainland of wano, and then CP-0 will contact Gorosei.
And because Marine didnt know if CP-0 is working together with Wano country, thats mean most likely WG will send their forces to Wano.
Which is my guess, Rob Lucci, Kaku, Jabra, Stussy, and the others might come to Wano.

What if Kaido informed what he's planning to do to the higher rank members like Calamities and Tobi Roppo?
Maria could add something to Orochi's drink to weaken him and maybe his powers were not going to work properly because of some poison? It's not like Kaido is weak but you know. More % that he's not going to live = better.

I dont think Kaido informed his plan to Tobi Roppo, because in fact he didnt even called Tobi Roppo about "New Onigashima Project" in the first place.
But King called them to capture Yamato. So i think Tobi Roppo dont even knew about "New Onigashima Project" before.

On one hand, I can see why people would say that he can't be dead, considering he's got 8 heads (but from what I understand, the Yamata no Orochi cannot regrow their head like a hydra can) and he's got a super cool fruit but...

He's potentially going to beg for help from the WG and it will be a three-way war for Wano (Orochi's samurai/CP0/Sword vs Kaido/BM vs SH alliance).
Classical role reversal. At first he tried to blackmail the WG ("I want Vegapunk!"), now he begs for their help. Maybe he even promised them to hand Wano over to the WG, if they just let him stay shogun as an employee for the WG.
That would also set the final war into motion. The WG would witness Luffy's growth and danger to them first hand for the first time since the timeskip. This could lead to Im/Gorosei finally declaring a full on war on Luffy and the SHs.
