Zoro's had not many challengers and some of them were incompetent. Hatchi FI guy Om as weird as it was and Kaku were imo at least legitimate wins against swordsman.

More than likely. Don't think he has those swords as decoration, although there has been characters like that in the past- Ace and his knife. Hybrid Queen (much like Hybrid King) will reveal a lot.

Only two things that maybe makes me question it is in the flashback, his sword looked more than a club and he's already got a named attack using his head instead, though that seemed pretty situational.
