Next chapter will decide everything.
Tbh, I dont think it means anything. It will take far longer to have Kaido and BM wreck everyone. Too many set up focal points to skip things and just have him win, especially with how many chapters have been dedicated to setting everything up.
Basically if Oda got to the battles way faster, I could then believe the raid failing. Right now that makes virtually no sense to me with how much built up concepts have been thrown around:
- Why would Oda spend a chapter with Sanji calling for Robin's help if she's just going to lose?
- Why would Oda set up Jinbe vs WsW if he isn't going to resolve the mask issue? Plus, Jinbe is really going to lose?
- Why would he have Chopper cure the virus if they are all just going to lose anyway?
Etc. There is just way too much going on here to just end it like nothing happened. Plus, if they lose, I dont see how they can win later.
What I can see is these fights dragged out for many chapters. Luffy fought Katakuri for 10-12 hours, same with Cracker. I could see the same for whoever fights the calamities and some F6 members. I can see Luffy vs Kaido lasting way longer somehow. Imo, it's not ending, it's just beginning (the fights that is)
Edit: More that the fight with Kaido and BM are going to be far longer than we think
