Imu is a direct rival of Joy Boy from 800 years ago
Imu has 5 immortal subordinates with Hell Fruits
Imu has the Knights of God and CP
Bb's greatest feat might be killing Shanks which is unlikely to happen people think killing Shanks and his crew and then fighting Luffy and his crew is a doable event
We even saw how much damage 90 year old Garp and a few rookies and Law did to Teach's crew now imagine how much damage they are going to get after fighting Shanks' crew right now no logic shows us how this fight will happen
But in the end, they will probably be stronger than the rest of the Yonko crew, and Teach could be the strongest villain in the story after Imu.

dory and brogy are stronger than those jobbers and them getting domi reversed won't make them anywhere close to being actually strong

Blackbeard takes Imu's DF and Domi reversies his entire crew. Problem solved. They would still not be worthy of a EoS Zoro opponent, not even all of them together.

True. I mean look at Crocodile. He went from being a punching bag for early hakiless Luffy, having the second lowest former bounty of any warlord, and his biggest claim to fame before becoming a warlord was getting his ass handed to him by Whitebeard, only to get massively upscaled after a few in-universe months in prison and suddenly fighting in Marineford like nothing, a place where haki users should've been making sand castles out of him. Now he has one of the highest bounties in the series and Oda has him sitting next to freaking Mihawk of all people.
Powerscaling in OP is nonexistent, especially after haki was introduced. There's only hypetools and 'THAT MAN' of the month now.

I mean, Zoro will certainly surpass Oden, even as per his father's own words ("Enma has yet to become a black blade, I'm sure in your hands it will archive that rank" (unlike in Oden's hands, who had Enma his whole life)).
With Blackbeard being supposed to get farther than his father (who gathered the future Yonko around him) and surpass Whitebeard in terms of power (who had Oden and PK potential Ace (according to Sengoku) as the commander of the second division, akin to Shiryu being the titan of the second ship), Shiryu certainly won't be a bum. Especially since he was shown in the color spread with the other first mates, including Zoro, Ben and Rayleigh.
