General & Others Is there too much Zoro focus in this arc?

Do you think all this Zoro focus is weird too?

I also don't understand those complains, bt i heard many wanted to see other sides of Zoro character more besides simply fights.
Like some of faces and reactions Zoro made this arc, are rarely seen from Zoro. Zoro got good character focus this arc.
This isn’t true though... Zoro made all the normal reactions he made in EVERY ARC that he’s in...

Just that story isn’t much about the Strawhats IN GENERAL... So Zoro who doesn’t make many gags IN GENERAL makes less gags

This is also dumb coz, making gag faces isn’t the same as being dimensional in character... I’m starting to get the feeling people just want to have a problem with zoro’s character so they just make shit up

Well i only know tht i have seen many people complain bout Zoro character post ts and read even Zoro fans sayin Zoro is rarely seen so angry or happy, especially after Yasu execution when he become aware od what Orochi did to Ebisu village people. These posts are in respective chapter day threads.

The thing is, the stories in general aren’t about the Strawhats but for some reason zoro is being singled out that he must somehow be making more gag faces and be shoehorned into story that aren’t really about him or any of the Strawhats I guess

And like I said, this isn’t even true since Zoro has had his character moments in every arc in the new world.
In Sabaody he trolls Sanji and everyone coz he was the first to arrive despite what most would think And there’s the getting on the wrong ship and cutting it in half and telling those guys that it’s their bad luck that Zoro got on their ship

In Fishman Island, Zoro stubbornly refuses to hear out the palace guards when they decide to arrest them and instead fights the freakin King and takes over the palace and of course later he’s too bored with Hyouzo that he even tells him he can leave the fight if he wants

In Punk Hazard, He shows his mental state regarding the severity of the new world by chastising Luffy for goofing off like as if they are back in Paradise. Zoro has mobility problems against the dragon and teams up with Ussop and Luffy to kill it and later with Monet and Tashigi we learn about Zoro opinion towards women (being that he doesn’t care about their gender and his only problem is with weaklings in general) and how he got over Tashigi’s face now and just sees her as some weakling now. (Which is a good thing since of course he would’ve gotten over this, it been two years). He also shows interest in Kin’emon’s fighting styles and all that

In Dressrosa he gets into comedy bits with Wicca and has his extended fight Pica where he has all his usual character bits and even shows his tactical analysis skills to deal with Pica and delegate the use of Orlumbus’ throwing and Elizabello’s king punch like a master tactician. Then he manages to inspire and Lead EVERYONE in the country, INCLUDING FUJITORA to stop running around like chickens and go deal with Bird Cage and push it back since he was sure Luffy would wallop Doffy and he needed time

In Zou he has an argument with Luffy regarding priorities and reminding him the severity of the task at hand and that Sanji and Luffy are probably just gonna make things worse if they take this detour (Which they did) and he apparently off screen helped Momo train in Swordsmanship and all that

And btw these aren’t even all the character moments with Zoro in all these arcs, this is me summarizing... it’s pretty clear that Zoro has done as much as he’s supposed to given the amount of aural narrative time he had. There’s no situation where Zoro just exists in the story and he’s doing nothing in the story itself or anything.

The one thing I can say is even remotely legitimate is Zoro fighting at full strength hasn’t happened and that’s about it. And you know, Zoro’s battle hardiness and all that IS JUST ONE of Zoro’s traits and since Zoro isn’t a One dimensional character, he doesn’t fall apart as a character suddenly because one of his traits is no longer being highlighted as much

It isnt focused on him lol

Act 2 focused on luffy the most
then Queen and Hwkins
Then Zoro Hiyori kawamastu

Act 1 focused on Hawkins luffy

Just because you saw zoro fighting fodders or getting Enma
It doesn't mean the arc is focused him lol.

I remember how you wrte crying "kda forgot about zoro plot" "where is zoro ... we haven't seen him do anything... '

Just relax... he is a swordman, we will learn about his background.
But he still wont shine more than the supernova big 3.

I think you are mistaking me for a while nw, i simply pointed out a complain that some fans had about Zoro and Oda reflecting on it by Giving Zoro more character focus in Wano arc. You have nothing to explain to me.

And i think the surface of this problm wasn't Zoro itself bt lack of him onscreen for 2 years while Story was in WCI and Sanji getting a character arc, so fans must have wanted something along the same lines for Zoro where we get to know more bout his origins.

Well I guess I still say ALL THIS is unsubstantiated... Even the Sanji thing is... Zoro’s character DOESN’T need it... Zoro’s never been shown to have some pent up issues with his family or some weird traits that weren’t already explained before already... I’m fact Sanji didn’t have any of these as well and they basically just got shoehorned into the story too

Anyway whatever, I guess I’ll take it up with the people who think this

I mean, this isn’t Zoro’s arc and yet he’s saving the princess, getting into ON SCREEN FINISHED fights with supernovas, getting sword and Haki power ups, getting lots of foreshadowing to his home village, getting into personal connections with Wano citizens like Yasu and getting into personal beefs with villains like Kyoshiro and Orochi with reasons separate from everyone else. Surely this should be about Luffy and everyone else just shares the rest of the time in the arc equally.

I think this is Odd how much focus Zoro is getting when this is clearly not an arc that should have more to do with him compared to the rest of the Strawhats at least. I mean this is Wano arc, the arc in the land of Swords and Swordsmen and Eastern Dragons and Shoguns and all that Japanese shit. I just can’t understand why there’s so much stuff with Zoro at least compared to Sanji and the others.
You answered yourself.

It is actually more surprising that you are surprised that zoro is getting so much focus.

Zoro is a fighter, a swordsman. Wano is the best place to focus on someone like Zoro.

The other straw hats other than puffy and zoro are not primarily fighters. They have other roles.

Zoro is also the grandmaster and Oda said not to speak ill of him:finally:

How is Hawkins receiving more focus than Zoro. He has done nothing but getting embarrassed by two supernovas. The only relevant thing he has done in Wano was tell us he was betrayed by Apoo.

While Zoro has been receiving focus throughout the entire Wano. One of the very first thing we found out was he was he became a wanted man. He has helped, saved, and interacted with very important characters in Wano. Now, he has received Enma.

In Dressrosa and especially WCI we had a lot of focus on Luffy. With Sanji having an important role too with his family background and wedding cake. In a samurai country, of course it is now time for Zoro to shine.
Yep and i guess on Elbaf, where Luffy will meet Shanks, we will get that Kind of Focus for Usopp, because he will met his father and so on.

Do you know what focus is?
Hawkins has been involved a lot on screen in both acts

Zoro even went hiatus in act 1... and act 2 was mainly focused on udon

Has there been a chapter mainly on zoro plot since Wano started? Maybe 2 or 1
