Yes and everybody saying, "Wait for Elbaf" are stupid. Why should we have to wait 8 years for a character that's been in the story for 20+ years to shine, how does that even make sense?

So far. But oda likes to develop only a few strawhats per arc along with luffy. So we just have to be patient.

What do you mean along with Luffy?

It's a mixed bag. He made strides at Fishman Island and post-sugar Dressrosa, did fine at Punk Hazard and Zou, stagnated/regressed in Wano and in Dressrosa before he knocked out sugar. Wano was really bad for Usopp. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami (Zeus), Chopper (lengthened rumble, cured Ice oni), and Robin made or received improvements. Jinbe and Franky scored victories. Brook at least did some solid work in Wano after being the low key MVP in WCI. I can't think of any significant thing Usopp learned or did during Wano.

Even though Chopper tends to get scared, his courage has grown exponentially as he stood up to Big Mom on the Sunny and fought Queen. Whereas Usopp hid behind Nami against Page One and Ulti.

For sure.Still physically weak(despite the abs).No haki and the dude doesn't have enough AP to put down a Tobiroppo or a way to fight logias.Ussop is still too cowardly too.The Kabuto and pop greens stuff had potential, lots of plants that produce some form of poison,etc...Oda could have run wild with his imagination and let Ussop at least beat page one by himself.

Facts.Oda did Ussop dirty.Just have him deploy some new poisonus gas pop greens to put down page one despite his durability.Look at what Caesar did to Oven and Katakuri with his gas.

Can't be disappointed by somebody you had no expectations of.

If you are expecting a cow to win a race against horses you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

On the other if you see the cow for what it is you won't be disappointed.

Occasionally you might even be excited by something the cow does.

I still have expectations, thing is that he has been absent for quite a long time

But in the grand scheme of things, i think Usopp is a great character and will end this series as one of the best written

There is no way Oda isn't preparing something big for him when he was one of the strongest (or atleast most useful/tricky) fighters alongside the Monster Trio pre-ts

100% yes. I think Oda could have gone a route where Usopp and Nami could have gotten more stronger for the NW in relation to the strength they needed for the grandline. Instead they have remained stagnant base strength wise with only their gadgets and tools getting stronger. Its like their inclusion in fights on this level in the story now is minimal compared to what it was. Its Oda's fault really for being so stingy with giving the rest of the SH more growth
