Character Discussion Is Zoro getting too strong too fast?

zoro will never be stronger than luffy
what we are seeing is a return to normalcy (pre-timeskip) where his strength ranked just behind luffy

it was hard to argue this especially when luffy's last fight was against katakuri
and zoro's was washing pica
at the time stating luffy beats zoro and sanji combined wouldnt be a ridiculous take
times have changed back to the way it was prets .

I bet when sanji solos a calamity
he closes that gap on the top 2 as well.

i can understand this sentiment. Hype-wise, zoro's current feat > luffy. But the negative to this is that zoro hasn't solo'ed any top-tier fighters, unlike luffy. So you will have the other side making this argument that Luffy > zoro, until otherwise.

Luffy has only defeated Yonkou Commanders in a solo fight.

After defeating a Yonkou's strongest subordinate, he was low diffed by Kaido.

Zoro's feats against Kaido and Mama out Luffy's to shame. Those who try to argue that Luffy > Zoro because Zoro never fought Katakuri have no argument.

Zoro endured an attack far stronger than the attack that KOed the Luffy who beat Katakuri.

• I've argued that Zoro will be the MVP on the Rooftop.
• I've argued that Zoro lands the final blow that defeats Kaido.
• I'm working on a series to make the case for Zoro Killing Kaido.

Zoro never went all out and at the same time Oda is already working the plot power at full force. Even is Zoro tanked it and is not in a good condition right now it didn't make much sense for Zoro to be able to do it. Oda put the level ofbthe yonkos too high at first: G4 Luffy oneshotted, YCs in general seen like ants when facing the yonkos and now we have not only the SN5 be ablento face them but even Zoro alone capable to stop a combo attack (even if it is true they didn't put in much effort and at the same time Zoro seems almost.done). If yo notice another small thing is that hybrid Kaido pummeled Luffy on the ground (and I'm curious to see how base Luffy who was hit by a strong attack by h Kaido will be the next chapter..) in a few moments yet he never come to help BM when her homies were neutralized, when she tried to rescue them and when Law and Kidd throw her put ofbthe battlefield. He had all the time but he did nothing.

He was always that strong. The notion that he somehow got some zenkai boost is illogical mainly because he hasn't been defeated prior. His limits wasn't shown even when he faced an admiral

Well not even I had managed to wank him enough to make him as powerful as he is now... the situation is getting out of hand and I love it.

I hope Oda will keep it this way because I don't want to see an EoS Zoro even a single inch weaker than PK Luffy.

Surely you read my post, its a problem to me because i would've liked seeing him grow stronger like Luffy, there is this thing called the hero's journey and most people enjoy that, including me. Zoro had none of that really post skip, just stattic till he got enma and then boom im low top tier now. Its meh.

Yes and no.

Should we have seen more challenging fights for the last ten years, if only for entertainment purposes? Absolutely.

Is it so unbelivable for current Zoro to block for a very brief moment, albeit leaving half dead from it, the type of power that may be, let's not say standard, but probably not overwhelming for what we'd call a "top tier"? Not really. This isn't something I can't see other strong fighters in the higher end of the "high tier" spectrum pulling if Oda feels like it.
