Lol now that a heinous LIE
The Quran says:
"And have not the ones who disbelieved seen that the heavens and the earth were an integrated (mass), then We unseamed them, and of water We have made every living thing? Would they then not believe?" Al-anbiya verse 30

This basically describes the Big bang
Now remind me what did scientists say about the the origin of Life? That it's all from water (oceans) not to mention how basically all living things consist majorly of water

Also I think you are mixing the Quran with bible

Okay
didn't expect to contribute in this thread or to argue in it lol
Its should be only exclusive to talking about Islam peacefully (no offense to other faiths believes)
Once I'm at home, I'll refute this sweet attempt.

Dunno why you think the Quran talks about the big bang. He just sees earth and heaven as 2 entities Allah separated. In reality, the earth formed several billion years after the big bang. But I'll go more into detail when at home, including posting verses.

Also, the origin or basis of life is carbon. Ancient philosophers where already much more precise scientifically than the Quran. Thales also said that water is the origin of life.

I mean the Big Bang....is a theory. Thus the earth being formed billions year after the Big Bang....is also a theory.

The Quran supports some of the Big Bang Theory. Not only that put also says the Universe is expanding.

Again I dont want to turn this thread into a debate section....but can you link me to a book thats older than the Quran or as old that has as much factual scienticfic fact as the Quran....

THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE MANY SCIENTIFIC FACTS FOUND IN THE QURAN. IT IS IMPORTANT TO
NOTE THAT THE QURAN IS NOT A BOOK OF SCIENCE, BUT THAT IT IS CONSISTENT WITH SCIENCE.

Universe
A mobile phone is clearly something that was put together in an organised way, so it would be rational
to believe that it must have an organiser. In the same way, when we see the order in the universe
around us, isn’t it rational to say that the universe has an organiser?

“We shall show them our signs in the universe and within themselves, until it becomes clear to them
that this is the truth. Is it not enough that your lord is the witness of all things?”[Quran, 41:53]

Origin of life
The fact that living things consist mostly of water was discovered only after the invention of the
microscope. In the deserts of Arabia, the last thing someone would have guessed is that all life came
from water.

“We made every living thing from water? will they not believe?”[Quran, 21:30]

Embryology

“We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly
fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made
the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)…” (Quran 23:12-14).

Professor Emeritus Keith L. Moore (one of the world’s most prominent scientists in the fields of
anatomy and embryology) : " It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad
from God, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later.

Sky’s protection
The sky protects the earth from the lethal rays of the sun. If the sky did not exist then the sun’s radiation
would have killed off all life on earth. It also acts like a blanket wrapped around the earth, to protect it
from the freezing cold of space. The temperature just above the sky is approximately -270oC. If this
temperature was to reach earth then the planet would freeze over instantly. The sky also protects life
on earth by warming the surface through heat retention.

“We made the sky a protective ceiling. And yet they are turning away from Our signs!” (Quran 21:32)

Iron
Iron is not natural to the earth. It did not form on the earth but came down to earth from outer space.
This may sound strange but it’s true. Scientists have found that billions of years ago the earth was stuck
by meteorites. These meteorites were carrying Iron from distant stars which had exploded (M. E.
Walrath, History of the Earth’s Formation)

“We sent down Iron with its great inherent strength and its many benefits for humankind.” (Quran
57:25)

Seas and Oceans:
Modern Science has discovered that in the places where two different seas meet, there is a barrier
between them. This barrier divides the two seas so that each sea has its own temperature, salinity, and
density (1) [Principles of Oceanography, Davis, pp. 92-93]

"He has set free the two seas meeting together. There is a barrier between them. They do not
transgress". (Quran, 55:19-20).

Sun’s orbit
The belief that the Sun is stationary was widespread amongst astronomers until the 20th century. It is
now a well-established scientific fact that the Sun is not stationary, but is moving in an orbit around the
centre of our Milky Way galaxy.

“It is He who created night and day, the sun and the moon, each floating in its orbit.”[Quran, 21:33]

Mountains:
A book titled ‘Earth’ by Geophysicist Frank Press (Earth (ISBN 0716717433) by Press, Frank, Siever,
Raymond. W.H. Freeman, c1986.) explains that mountains are like stakes, and are buried deep under
the surface of the earth. Mount Everest, the height of which is approximately 9 km above ground, has a
root deeper than 125 km.

“Did we not make the earth a resting place? and the mountains as stakes?”[Quran, 78:6-7]

Universe expanding
The fact that the universe is expanding was discovered in the last century. The physicist Stephen
Hawking in his book ‘A Brief History of Time’ writes, “The discovery that the universe is expanding was
one of the great intellectual revolutions of the 20th century.”

“And it is We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power and keep expanding it.”[ Quran,
51:47]

Skin pain receptors
For a long time it was thought that the sense of feeling and pain was dependent on the brain. However,
it has been discovered that there are pain receptors present in the skin. Without these pain receptors, a
person would not be able to feel pain.

"We shall send those who reject our revelations to the (hell) fire. When their skins have been burned
away, We shall replace them with new ones so that they may continue to feel the pain: God is
almighty, all-wise.”[Quran 4:56]

Oceans
It is commonly thought that waves only occur on the surface of the ocean. However, oceanographers
have discovered that there are internal waves that take place below the surface of the ocean. These
waves are invisible to the human eye, and can only be detected by specialist equipment.

“Darkness out in a deep ocean which is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are
clouds, layers of darkness, one upon the other. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly
see it. Those God gives no light to, they have no light.”[Quran, 24:40]

Lying & Movement

First, a book titled ‘Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology’ which includes the results of research on the
functions of this area states: “The motivation and the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in
the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal area. The part of the brain that is responsible for
movement is said to be seized if the man does not stop. Secondly, numerous studies have shown that
this same region (frontal lobe) is responsible for the lying function of the brain. One such study at the
University of Pennsylvania in which volunteers were asked questions during a computerized
interrogation, it was found that when the volunteers were lying there was significantly increased activity
in the prefrontal and premotor cortices.

There was a cruel oppressive tribal leader named Abu Jahl who lived during the time of Prophet
Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Allah revealed a verse of the Quran to warn
him:

“No indeed! if he does not stop, We will seize him by the forehead, his lying, sinful
forehead.”[Quran, 96:15-16]. Allah does not call this person a liar, but calls his forehead (the front
part of the brain) ‘lying’ and ‘sinful’, and warns him to stop

In truth.....yes the Quran may have some facts that may have come first from elsewhere. However it is consistent with science. No book comes close to it. And the fact it came down to a man who cant read nor write....and had to memorise it and have scribes.... Its the biggest miracle.

Yh. They are.

Yesterday I read different articles talking about Harut and Marut as Angels who were given human desires to test them. They were given this because Harut and Marut used to complain to Allah about the disobedience of humans. And they wanted all humans punished. So Allah brought them to Earth to test them and gave them human desires. But they failed the test and were punished to teach humans magic.

Idk if its true or not. Some say it is...but other sources say Angels cant defy Allah. It could be possible but I dont think theres enough proof the story.
This is the first time I hear this lol and honestly I don't think it's true and the idea of Angels wanting all humans to be punished and then being tested and failing doesn't resonate well
We should only take what we have in the Quran which is them only coming to earth to the people of Babylon in particular and announce they teach magic and warn them that its a test for them

Ibn Sina - From the necessary existence to God.
To make this possible we will discuss a selection of attributes of this necessary being in roughly the order chosen by Ibn Sina: uniqueness, simplicity, ineffability, intellection, and goodness, with implications on several more attributes stemming from the latter.
2. A) Uniqueness: Here Ibn Sina presents a philosophical argument for the Islamic doctrine of Tawhid. Ibn Sina uses a strategy of reductio to prove the oneness of the necessary being. He supposes that there are 2 necessary existents, and that contradiction follows.
3. Suppose 2 necessary existents. A and B. if A is distinct from B as a result of something that follows from necessity of existence, then B would share that feature (after all, it, too, is necessarily existent) and the two would not be distinguished after all.
4. But if A is distinct from B as a result of something not implied by necessity of existence, then this individuating factor will be a cause for A (since it makes A exist separately from B), and this will compromise the necessity of A.
5. He adds another argument. Suppose that there are two necessary existents, A and B, which exist together, neither causing the other, and both being necessary. This time, we ask not what makes A and B distinct, but what accounts for their being together in necessary existence.
6. If either A or B is the reason for this, then it causes the other to be together with it which violates the assumption that both are uncaused. If something other than A or B is the cause, this is even worse: both A and B will be caused.
7. Ultimately it amounts to this: If an existent is necessary, then everything about it must be necessary. A necessary existent cannot “just happen” to have an equal partner, or, indeed, “just happen” to have any other trait.
8. Avicenna is telling us that the uniqueness of the First is after all established by its being uncaused, and not its being a cause.
9. B) Simplicity: Avicenna’s arguments for divine simplicity are closely linked to his arguments for divine uniqueness, and likewise proceed on the basis of God’s being uncaused.
10. The argument for simplicity is that anything made up of parts is in some sense an effect of those parts. Since the necessary existent is uncaused, it cannot have parts.
11. Again, to prove this, Ibn Sina uses a reductio. Suppose the necessary existent is not simple, but “a multiplicity (kathra).” In that case, we would have a number of elements of the composite necessary existent, which would stand in need of differentiation from one another.
12. If the internal parts of the necessary existent are themselves necessary and non-identical, then there must be some feature that individuates them. But this individuating feature cannot derive simply from the necessity of the part that it individuates,...
13. ...since otherwise it would be possessed by each of the necessary parts. Nor can it be merely accidental to the part that it individuates, since it would belong to the part contingently and hence require an outside cause.
14. C) Ineffability: Ibn Sina says that the possession of any positive quiddity or attribute apart from necessary existence would compromise simplicity. This allows Avicenna to exclude both genus and differentia from the necessary existent.
15. In establishing more positive attributes than he has so far, Avicenna will presumably need to exploit the fact that the necessary existent is also a cause. He will indeed go on to do this, as we will see shortly.
16. D) Intellection: One of Ibn Sina's central “positive” claims about God derives ultimately from the “negative” premise that the necessary existent is uncaused. This is his claim that God is an intellect.
17. It might seem uncontroversial, in Avicenna’s context, that God is immaterial, and little more controversial that necessary existence implies immateriality. After all, materiality is associated with potentiality or possibility, a point made by Avicenna.
18. Ibn Sina takes immateriality to imply intellection and self-intellection. But why suppose that, if the necessary existent is immaterial, it engages in (self-)intellection?
19: Here is the argument: An immaterial object is something intelligible. Now, we know that some intelligible things are intellects. So the question is, in fact, what would prevent an intelligible thing from being an intellect?
20: The answer is that intelligibles which subsist in something else are not intellects. So an intelligible thing which subsists through itself, not in matter or in an intellect, will itself be an intellect.
21: Obviously the necessary existent will pass this test, it is the self-subsisting existent par excellence, and is therefore an intellect.
22: As for self-thinking, of course, Avicenna holds that God knows His creatures by knowing Himself. But He does so precisely by knowing Himself as a cause.
23: E) Goodness: In general, Ibn Sina says the good is that which everything desires, and that through which it is completed. Evil has no essence, but is either the absence of substance or of some state beneficial to the substance. Thus existence is goodness.
24: Perfection of existence is goodness of existence, the existence that is untouched by absence – whether absence of substance or absence of something that belongs to substance – rather, it is perpetually actual. So it is pure good.
25: The necessary existent is “pure good” and free of evil, because evil is lack or deficiency. Having established this, Avicenna reminds us that the necessary existent provides existence and perfections of existence. This, too, allows us to affirm His goodness
26. From another point of view, Good refers to God’s status as the source of existence and perfection for other things. This provides a basis for further attributes, like the attribute of generosity, sufficiency and even will.
27: These are some of the attributes Ibn Sina uses to prove the necessary being is in fact the Islamic conception of God, with the use of a variety of philosophical arguments.

I cry whenever I come across the hadiths describing the Love of the prophet for Khadija
He said years after she passed away: "Her love had been nurtured in my heart by Allah Himself." He also always mentioned how she was the first to believe in him

He also was so keen to show his love for her to the point sending gifts for her friends just because she loved them, many years after she passed away

Anas ibn Malik reported: When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was given something, he would say, “Go to such person, for they were a friend of Khadijah. Go to the house of such person, for they were loved by Khadijah.

And compare this to the men today :saden:
