they weren't some random dudes, but people who devoted everything to their religion through study and practice
they understood somethings that we never could

and since we are part of the existence
god is in us ...
let me put it in this way ... if a single drop of water inside an ocean claim "I am the ocean"
is that drop of water is wrong cause as long as that drop is inside ocean it is ocean
these people don't claim to be god .... but to be one by god
to non-fanatical mind this a deep beauty. this is pure love
but there is a saying "you shall not speak the truth of love" since people who are not among lovers can't understand you and will misunderstand you

I don’t know who are those people you are referring to but I sure do hope they are not muslims
because that’s not a thing a basic believer, who was not tainted by the by others “shirky” beliefs and ideologies about God, would say
Please don’t spout this kind of stuff without knowledge, and be offended if someone point out it’s shirk
to put in simple terms, from my very limited humble knowledge, Allah (God) almighty is the creator not a creature, and he is “above” his creations and not “in it” or “part of it”
For example when you make a device, a very complicated one; you don’t become part of the device after it’s works
Therefore saying “he’s in us” and “hE iS uS” not only is blasphemous but it’s irrational and a sign of ignorance about Allah and his attributes..
I recommend watching people like Mohammed Hijab for this

but we are not device someone make and stand outside of us
best example would be ... we are imaginations of god ...

Those people are the embodiment of love and the right path. God is the creator of everything, if you look with the "eyes of love" you will see God behind everything. An atheist will just see a tree but someone who loves God will see the tree as God's creation. Everything leads to God. He’s the creator and behind every creation but creation can never be the creator.
Only God is God but we’re are mirror of his thoughts/will. Even the constellations of the stars have a meaning and are a sign.
We love the creation because of the creator.

My main issue here is that we really need to be careful about how we approach these topics without knowledge and from our own (ideas) and (how you feel) because it can be deviated into “philosophy” and علم الكلام (kalam science), which is what you wrote in this post exactly is, and it’s a dangerous area to indulge into if you want to know God and be close to him. It can end up making you go astray instead of closer.
What we understand of God almighty should be first and foremost taken from the Quran and sunnah, and then from what the early generations who met and lived with the prophet peace be upon him and then scholars who studied and devoted their whole live for studying the creed and the attributes of Allah.
