Character Discussion It’s time to face the TRUTH. Smoker doesn’t matter anymore.

-The fact that Smoker was not in any of the recent front lines (against the ex-Shishibukai or against the emperors)
-The fact that Oda choose to reintroduce Lucci against Luffy in Egghead (where Smoker was heading after PH)
-The fact that Koby is the new Garp after Kuzan (even tho PH hinted that there was a link between Smoker and Aokiji)
-The fact that Tashigi was with Garp and not Smoker

Lead me to think that either Oda has totally sideline Smoker or he is reserved for a massive comeback.

The funny (or sad) thing is that everything that happened with Koby (being a part of Sword, being dub as the New Garp, having the same training regiment than Kuzan and Garp, unlocking Adv CoC…) would have received a far better reception by the fans if it was Smoker.

Now his fans can hope that he is actually trained by Kong and that the next time we see him he will have a logia awakening and has step up his game in the haki departement.

Smoker is inferior to Koby in every way.

Here we see smoker in disagreement, but standing on the sidelines sweating like a coward.
(It's easier for him to talk back over a den-den mushi.)

And here we have someone with courage.

All it took was a few seconds of courage; courage that smoker doesn't have.


In terms of fighting ability, Koby once again trounces him.
Smoker uses a cowardly gimmick, a weapon with a built in nerf to devil fruit users.

Let's compare that to a real man's fighting style.

Bare knuckles, haki is his anti-devil fruit weapon.
Koby trains 200x harder than Smoker and it shows.

The first 3 characters in the series will be top 3 EOS.
Way more relevant than some loguetown B-Villain will ever be.
