I mean, the only incentive I see if he's scum is that his buff is god tier which makes only sense for the scum leader or Sukuna to have and I feel like scum Ultra would consider this and that people would be wary and not out himself recklessly.

The urgency of that rabbit mink´s claim is beyond our understanding. Do you really believe scum would not try to take out the vigs / assassins first? With a town assassin having claimed already we could be at a disadvantage soon because once there are more scum assassins than townie ones they can just refuse the orders that would have getting killed on of their own and always execute the orders when they can get a townie eliminated...

Perhaps. But wouldn't going all out on a claim make it more believable as a town claim? A half assed claim that seems fake could feel more like it's coming from scum. I'm wary of the claim. I don't want to leap into saying it's fake, but with the way the game is setup and the mechanics involved, you have to take precaution of why exactly Ultra is claiming so early.

We could just get one other assassin to claim as well and confirm Ultra's mechanic.

At this point I am being asked questions I have already answered.

My recommendation - don't demand further assassin claims, test the waters by treating it as a secondary lynch and giving a target to the guy who orders shots

yeah I don’t think there’s anything wrong in considering why he did it or anything like that, but he doesn’t strike me as someone who’s just gonna shove all his chips in the middle immediately as scum, so I’m inclined to view him favourably

Assuming that Ultra isn't lying and I'm not sure why he would start the game with this reveal, this wouldn't be a wise course of action. It removes the ability for town to bare its fangs since for all intents and purposes, ASSUMING he isn't lying, we are removing our vig equivalents from the game board if another claims to confirm him and make easy targets for scum to wipe out.
