Maybe there's a piece of Kaido's backstory that ties into something that Oda doesn't want to reveal yet.

There could be but it won't be related to Kaido....I mean the important thing will be something else not Kaido.
Like WB was part of Rox...but it doesn't add to him but rather Rox Pirates().
