Powers & Abilities Kaido can move under water

Kaido can't swim obviously but he can't fly either.

Dragons like him don't actually fly. They are lifted by flame clouds.

My bet is that those same flame clouds can now Kaido under water. Kaido can't swim but he can still move under water via flame clouds (Note these aren't actually fire, the name is used to just describe the way they look)

I dont think he can effectively move. If the flame clouds can exist underwater, all they can do is lift him upwards and that's it...

Did you see Kaido chasing Ashura douji back in okobore? That's not kaido actually moving. That's him being moved by clouds

Everything he can do in the air he should be able to do in the sea because he doesn't actually fly. All is air movement is the clouds. So if the clouds are under water, the movement is the same

There is a problem form my point of view actually 2
First he has a df and by the nature of this fruits he can't swim and his abilities should decrease and get nullify.
Second shouldn't flames get extinguished by water?

Also a small clarification dragons were c
considered fish. Let me clarify it was thought that a koi fish became a dragon so based on the legend it was thought that a koi fish might become a dragon. Or at least this is what I've understood.

While in Europe the legends of dragons might be based on the findings of dinosaurs and because they didn't know what they were they associated it to dragons. That is way probably we se the dragon fruit beeing actually dinos in one piece

He is constantly actually moving in the sky, from a circular position like a serpent to an almost straight line when he is traveling somewhere as seen when he was going after the ruins of Oden castle. Whether he is walking on top of those clouds or just standing on them while they carry him, he still moves his body and he cant do that underwater.

So, whether the clouds can carry him in direction underwater, he cannot move the body at all. It would be like operating a toy with a remote controller. But anyway, it's a big stretch by itself already since clouds shouldn't exist underwater. However, since he is a fish fish fruit user, it is not a stretch that he can breath underwater and would be in same situation like Jack.

Clouds shouldn't lift islands either right?

I mean since the island was ripped out of the sea, that means the clouds HAD to exist under water and rip the island out of the ocean
Fair enough. As I mentioned in first reply, they could perhaps lift him or move him in any direction he wishes but he cant move his body.
However, it is pointless since most likely, we will never find him in such a position.

I feel like if one is weak against the sea, the sea is a killer, regardless of the devil fruit in question. If that's the actual legit case scenario Kaido would just drown like every other devil fruit user. But I will wait for confirmation first, we don't know how Oda will portray it, but I see it logical for now.

As i said, if Kaido could die due to the sea, he wouldn't get such portrayal of a guy wanting to die but couldn't be able to. Or Oda has to pay the toll of the coherence.

It's pretty weird indeed. Kaido looks like totally having lungs and that he must breathe, however he is a devil fruit user, not a fish or fishman. Which is different.

I really wonder how Oda will manage to overcome this paradox.

There's theories that Kaido will find out about Shirahoshi and go to fishman island
And then Kaido will boro breath the sea kings to prove he's strongest under the sea
Theoretically doable going there but Borobreath underwater is not, I am sure in that one...
However, let's see if he can survive Zoro first.
