Yeah the lad stayed in when his dad and Big Mom were shaking Onigashima to the rafters, or when the BMP were making their way up the waterfall.
If he's a kid he'll be relativeky weak like Momo or Rebecca who haven't reached their potential yet. If he's older like late teens he's probably going to be pretty strong, but not quite around Calamity level. If he's in his 20s-30 then he's probably the strongest crewmember under Kaidou.
Of course he could just be a complete nerd - super smart but weak to contrast with his dad who is strong but rather dimwitted, especially with drink.

I really hope he doesn't turn out to be a weakling , it will be a massive turn-off.It would be nice if he is charismatic , similar to Katakuri and not necessarily fond of Kaido's tactics.I am not saying he should co-operate with the Alliance , just that he could have his own agenda.He could also be just another bad guy.I would be okay with that.
He could also be used for tension build-up.I would like to see Eustass or Law going one on one against him.It would be a nice way to give them panel time (especially Kid) and also show that they are no just cheerleaders.
As far as looks go , I don't think he should look goofy or huge.A slim badass physique would be better imo.

Kaido's son appears to be an introvert. Now, Oden's son turned out to be a weakling. So, Kaido's son can also turn out to be a weakling.
Alternative is that he is the solution to the Kaido problem Oda has been working with since the beginning of WCI. He is so strong that he is the only one who can beat Kaido.

I don't think he is stronger than the Calamities. I think he is maybe in his early 20s or 19/18.
But I think he is quite strong between high mid tier and mid high tier. But with insane potential.
I think his design will look like Kaido with some differences : smaller like 3m, with horns etc.

There is probably going to be another calamity for Ace and Kaido Jr is our best guess so far and there was someone else with queen and King when they burned the castle and his design seemed intresting and character wise i vote average.
Or he is just a weakling there is nothing in between he is either going to be complete trash or Yc level.
