I think it's really fucking funny that Kaido is supposedly a non-human race but there's literally exactly one line about it in the middle of a fight and it never goes anywhere or amounts to anything

Wano is unironically one of the top 10, if not top 5, worst writings I have ever read in Shounen manga. Just piss poor from the first panel to the very last.

Kaido knowing so much makes it more likely he's not dead imo. But yeah, Wano had a lot of issues one of them being how vague everything felt during the arc. I don't see the point to dragging it out so long only to start to reveal stuff in the following two arcs. I don't think giving answers would have made it a better arc, but it would have made it an interesting one.

Could have even tied with the ancient giant lore by making him a halfling, him and Harald even look similar

But then Wano might have lasted 170 chapters, but still shows incompetence tbh, he would have needed far less if he just cut off the Olin bullshit

Seriously compare Big Mom pirates and WCI. Totoland just screams Big Mom, everything is influenced by her etc. Wano is objectively just influenced by Orochis resentment towards everyone. Look at the flower capitol and Ebisu town. Nothing going on there has anything to do with Kaidos ideology.

Hmmm idk about that bro, Zoro has a King of Hell, 3-sword serpent technique, and has no clue about any of this. King of Hell: Serpent - Serpent of Hell, three-swords = three worlds

So I don't think there's much there in terms of story wise behind that name. Other than homage to Kaido's potential bloodline relation to the Ancient Giants, the true Onis.
