Tbh i don't know anymore..
Law and Kid were supposed to have greater feats already at this point,they fought Dragon Kaido who is usually a punching bag but didn't do much to him.
Now Kaido went hybrid,them doing good against him now kind of dehypes Kaido as he and Big mom are supposed to have the upperhand after finally going serious mode.
Now Kid still has the metal he collected on the lower floors and Law probably has something up his sleeve,as he wouldn't look that calm in 1003 if it was already hopeless.
The question that will arise is why didn't they perform better before Kaido and Big Mom got serious?

Feats are what people take into consideration when deciding how important a character is, Kidd has no feats, Until he does hes nothing and thats a fact, The one who is headcannoning is you, You are literally deciding how important a character is based on your head cannon and not feats just because he had some portrayal and COC, Law was almost on screen in punk hazard and dressrosa and even since the new world, And his "portrayal was very imoprtant" and what does he do now? he couldnt even defeat doffy who he seemed to hate so much. Luffy had to do the work for him. Luffy is the main character, Law kidd and every single other character wouldnt touch him in feat, Zoro might have some feats here and there, But even Zoro wouldnt get close to Luffy's feats, And zoro is more like a deuteragonist than anything else and he still wouldnt touch luffy. And you think that fking captain kidd with almost no feats at all will have feats over all these characters? Keep dreaming by the end of wano you will see what i mean anyways.
Kidd will have some feats he will get a few good hits here and there, He might even get a VERY good moment in the fight, But he wont by a decider in the fight, Luffy and Zoro will finish off kaido.

You would have a point if Kidd and Law had equal portrayal. But they don’t. From the arc the Supernova were introduced Oda always put Luffy and Kidd a step above the other captains. When the Supernova were introduced in Saboady who did Oda give a supernova vice captain to? Luffy and Kidd. Not Law. In Saboady who were the two only two supernova who Oda coincidentally made have a bounty in the 300 millions? Luffy and Kidd. Not Law. In that same arc which two Supernova declared they wanted to be PK? Luffy and Kidd. Not Law. Which supernova did Oda give CoC to? Which supernova have had multiple conflicts with the yonko? Although I'm a fan of Law and Kid too, they gave their all against Kaido in this round.
Everyone gave their all against Kaido in Dragon form.
But he was having fun that's all
We can not say Law and Kid are not given thoroughly it would not make sense.
Kid was even surprised that Luffy hit Kaido in Chapter 1000 in Gear2 + Haki Ryo + Red Hawk
Which means that apart from the junk he gathered in chapter 996 he hadn't planned other things.
Law is the same the fact that he uses the Gamma Knife is a good idea but Kaido is a dragon so it is very difficult to find his heart.
To say that they haven't given everything or that they are just getting started doesn't make sense.
Oda's goal is I think to show us that Supernovas despite their potential and power cannot yet match the Emperors.
And to add something else to be objective, as it was said above, you have to look at the facts:
-None of the 2 has not beaten an emperor commander it must be accepted
-Law it's totally beaten up by Doflamingo who hasn't even woken up I don't know if you realize
-Kid has it seems to me a Big Mom commander but frankly hurting someone in the world of One Piece has become something commonplace be careful I do not get down Kid
And I don't think he hurt Cracker because he said that Luffy is one of the only ones who have broken his armor for a long time
And I don't think it's Smottie either because Big Mom always seems to send the weaker commanders first.
We all know it's Katakuri never
Most likely it's Snack but hey Urouge beat him
So based on the facts they have beaten no powerful person in the new world and have to accept it
Luffy beat Doflamingo where Law failed
He beat Cracker (with support from Nami)
And beat Katakuri on my own if you look closely but it was very very hard
Now after his training in Udon with Hyogoro he has surely passed Katakuri
But Kid and Law don't have to try to surpass themselves to train with a mentor unlike Luffy
And we now see the difference in level
Some will say Luffy is lucky to meet the right people
But luck must be obtained, Luffy always helps the populations, the most deprived and he develops a certain sympathy with people who will also help him achieve his goal.
So for me Kid and Law showed it all
But they will surely have a Power-Up in the next round
But Luffy will always be in front of them

Yes it's true that Luffy and Zoro have a lot of links with Wano:
I would say Luffy first, he is also compared to a Myo by Hyogoro when he transforms into Gear 4 and in chapter 921 we are also told that Kaido is a myo too
Luffy will be the one who will open the doors of Wano
Luffy is the hope of the Kozuki clan who somehow remains
Since the beginning of the arc Luffy has been compared to the legends several times as if something incredible is going to happen.
And I would say Zoro in second:
Although I am not a fan of Zoro I must admit that Oda puts him on a pedestal
-He gets Emna's sword
-Whatever says he has already beaten 2 supernovas (Appo and Drake
-He did a very good performance against Hawkins who has several lives
-Since the start of the raid, it is the most serious one
-He succeeded in slicing Kaido
-And cut off Onigashima's skull
-He will show Kaido that even if Oden is no longer there there is a person capable of slicing him very seriously
I think Zoro will allow Luffy to finish Kaido in 1v1 after seriously injuring him

Be careful do not place too much hope on the superovas they do not have the same importance as Blackbeard, Coby in the story if you expect too much you may be disappointed

He beat killer aswell, But thats not the point kid wont just outshine every one on the roof just because of "surely he will hes yet to do anything". Luffy law and zoro all had much more feats and portrayal, He wont just outshine them, not saying he wont do anything at all, But he wont do anything that will shine him more than the other.

Its because of Zoros back ground, This is zoros arc the same way WCI was sanjis arc and how Dressorsa was laws arc. The samurai background and Zoros connection with wano through Ryumas sword. Obviously had this planned for a while, Zoro getting shusui was no coincidence it was a long build up for this arc. People think oda is a bad writer, But Oda doesnt build up for something significant for no reason, Once i knew about the connection between ryuma and the wano arc i knew Zoro will shine in Wano. Luffy being the main character obviously will always have something to important and big to do in the arc.
