Kid defeating shanks will nicely hype kid as an eos rival for luffy to defeat, as both will have defeated an emperor 1v1. However, this is also how oda will hype killer as zoros opponent eos. Just like the rivalry between luffy and kid, oda has also established a rivalry between zoro and killer.

Like Zoro, Killer was also part of the rooftop 5 which means he is a very important character, being one of the frontrunners of the new era leading the next generation. Zoro and killer will end up being the strongest right hand men of all time. As for how strong killer is right now, we have no idea because he didn't get a matchup that would test him to his limits. Killer was originally going to fight big mom with kid, but had to take care of hawkins who had kid's body hostage. The only reason for the struggle in that "fight" was because killer didnt want to harm kids body, but once he figured out the loophole it was an easy oneshot.

It is implied that beckman is the one that took kid's arm. Killer like the chad he is, always has kid's back. Just like he did with hawkins, killer will avenge kid and deal with beckman so that kid can focus on defeating shanks

"But kid pirates were easily defeated last time without even seeing shanks, shanks has his whole crew, his whole fleet, and giants ect." Yeah thats the whole point. The stage is set where the kid pirates will have to defy all odds to win, and that's exactly why they will end up winning

Personally I want Killer defeat Beckman. It will hype his future match up against Zoro.
