It was clear from the start that King's attack represented Kaido, we just didn't know that Kaido could turn his whole body into a fire dragon. But surely King knew. When it was cut, did he see it as a foreboding of Kaido's demise?

Seriously I love this comic so much because we see a younger version of King actually be a freaking Kid at heart and Kaido gets to act so nice to him after all he's been through. And seriously, it makes me wonder when King was younger he used to be so full of wonder an easy amazement.

Just yesterday I was talking with some people about Momo asking Shinobu to age him to become a big dragon, and one of them said: What kid would not wish to become a big dragon? no matter the cost.
If King can't become one himself, at least he can create one from the fire of his own body.

Well, Oda decided to land Onigashima in a different place than my fanfic, which was to be expected. At least I'm happy I got it right that Kaido believed Luffy was Joy Boy because he defeated him.
