I'm sorry but Oda isnt original.

- How many Princesses in distress did we have
- How many random child characters
- How many mother dying flashbacks
- How many serious characters that got gags

King is just part of this.
Well nothing new although it's good to have hope I guess...

Wano is nothing more than next alabasta/dressrosa with "HIGHER" stakes.

Keep in mind translating that scene must have been a headache for Stephen. The "meme" is pretty Japan exclusive if he translated the scene as literally as he could it would have been very difficult for Western audiences to get it. The dialogue in the raws is word for word how the gag goes in Japan. I wonder if Stephen got a tip as to who are the people involved in the scene were to make it easier for him to interpret it in a way we can get it

I saw in the comments on reddit that it refers to some shit in japan where you hear this noise when a woman gets undressed by a man or some shit. Dunno how accurate it is but it would fit WsW.

Or King and Maria:moonwalk:

Well....they do call King "Lord"
I don't know about the official Japanese words, but here its probably sama since it says Lord King not just Lord. And I doubt there is mention of any lord(it could be some other word or missing completely but implying it). Usually the joke just
middle-aged man: its fine, isn't it?
Girl: Oh my....(no.....) .. . something like telling to stop it(plus extra moans too I guess). Only these two dialogues.
I don't think the translation is done here is exact but just to show the meaning of that scene as much as possible.
And here if there is the word Lord used it's probably something like Tono which is not used with a name but as a title.

But well we all know it's just bait. And I am guessing it's just Black Maria and Courtesans doing that skit. Or as some people suggest about being an Okama..... Or just a gifter who baits people with a sound recorder ability(a pair of parrot gifters imitating the sound?)
